What makes someone kissable in your opinion?
I mean visually, without having kissed them before. If you look at a photo what would make you deem them kissable?

I have to fancy the person.
So what can make me fancy them from photos alone? I guess I’m seeing some personality in the way they hold themselves. And because we’re being superficial and visual here, an enticing pair of lips. Good lips go a long way. |

You ask the most difficult, but interesting, questions Bella.
I’ve been to do some first-hand research through the photo galleries of my friends list. And now I’m a bit flushed and flustered, so I definitely found lips I love.
- Full lips. Lips with some flesh to them. Some shape. Roundness.
- Not thin lips. That’s important.
- A nice curve to the lower lip and a defined Cupid’s bow to the top lip. I think that’s what gives them a femininity.
- Colour! Whether it’s lipstick that really defines the shape, or just a healthy natural shade. Lips that have a bit of contrast.
- And this kind of goes with the colour thing, but a wet look. Lipgloss is sexy for a reason. Or just lick your lips before taking the photo. That always works.

And that’s me deliberately overthinking it. I never think consciously about any of those things.
And a woman biting her lip as though she’s in the middle of a wicked thought … that grabs my attention every time. It’s as good as a mischievous glint in the eyes. |

I think it comes from that attraction inside us all. None of us asked who to be attracted to or what makes us preference a certain attribute over the next.
I can't say I'd ever looked at someone and thought you've got kissable lips. But I have looked at someone and thought "damn I wouldn't mind getting my hands on that arse"
Not to say I don't enjoy a smooch though. |

Is it as good as a woman casually putting her hair up with any found object? Thanks to you, I haven’t stopped seeing women putting their hair up in the past few weeks with all sorts of objects. It’s grabs my attention every time now where I never noticed ever before.

This is my view. I’ve never in my life looked at a photo and thought their lips were kissable initially as a first thought without having experienced kissing them before.

A photo is just a photo. Even many photos are still just photos.
A little video clip, a few seconds that give a sense of how a person moves … that’s better. A hundred times better.
But still nothing compared to meeting and chatting and spending time and realising that you’ve been letting your gaze linger on their lips a little … or a lot.
And even that’s not enough. Until you try it, you just never know. That first kiss … that’s where you find out whether the two of you fit together or not. Whether that mysterious chemistry is there. Whether you need more. Whether you want them, with every fibre of your being.
Because yeah - sometimes the spark just isn’t there. The kiss doesn’t feel right. And you both know it, straight away. |
