A mute swan called Brucie has been put down by a local vet in medieval Suffolk and Gracie his life partner is widowed and their ducklings have been orphaned. The swan was attacked by a dog off a lead on two occasions. The vet had to put Brucie down. Reports that Bruce was a mute swan and possibly could not call for help. What's going on here? It's all over the news

The swan was put down for good reason. The vet did not kill it in cold blood.

It wasn't Suffolk, Tom. It was near Windermere.

So that's a Brucie, Bowness.

Reports say a place called Lowestoft in Suffolk. Is there a pattern here. Other similar attacks?

Had the Swans adopted the ducklings? I wonder if they were unable to have cygnets of their own.
