When we have a party we always put out some 'beige' party food - chicken things, sausage rolls, crisps, quiche, pizza, etc. Our friends often bring contributions and they bring whatever they're drinking. |

Yes my family used to make this, along with blancmange rabbits with green jelly grass. 80's kids parties rocked

Depends on the time of the party. But normally there will be a stew in pot of some sort on the hob.

Yes! Kids’ parties, for sure. I started it with my own kids too, sausages on sticks, hula hoops, cheese/pineapple/grape hedgehog, marshmallow top hats, little jellies  |

The last party we co-hosted it was an early start for a dozen couples, we did a BBQ, cooked a Paella outdoors, then cake and sweets, before debauchery time. No one complained about the food nor the sex |

Kids of the 60s/80s/80s managed to survive and probably have stronger constitutions due to a few germs.
I remember eating a hard boiled egg at a picnic as a kid, which was grey, as we'd been playing in the woods before hand. No such thing as baby wipes or hand sanitiser gel back then!! |

The last party I hosted had too much food. I ended up sending ateendees home with bags of food and drinks.
I’ve never had the hedgehog and pineapple thing and don’t reckon I ever will.
Jelly and ice cream is another weird party concoction I’ll never eat. |
