Ey up good folks
When you stop and really think about it, pies are blooming glorious are they not?
Pork pies, steak and kidney pies, chicken and mushroom pies……..pies
Anyway: Your favourite type of pie good folks?
Do you make your own? - If so, please feel free to have a humble brag here.
Your favourite type of pastry for pies?
All things pie related in fact; Praise be unto the pie say I! |

Frey Bentos mince beef and onion was a guilty pleasure but a steak and ale pie is my favourite, especially Piglets pies served at the Amex Stadium Brighton.
Cornish Pasty a close second if that qualifies. |

With all my ramblings about steak, I would expect it to be steak pie. It's up there but alas no my favourite is Chicken and Mushroom with a nice creamy sauce.
I like them deep-filled with a pastry that is not greasy but with a little crunch followed by a melt in the mouth texture. |

What?! That's the best bit..I rarely eat them now because barely any manufacturers put in anywhere near enough jelly |

"I'm currently on a health kick, and pies are most definitely OFF my menu for the foreseeable future, so I am presently drooling at the mention of all the glorious pies here..."
Mmmm…that luxurious flakey pastry and that satisfying crunch as one cuts into it for the first time, revealing the delicious interior….
….Am I helping? |

"Pie Side Note: I am not a fan of those pies sans bottoms (just a lid) - Nay, nay! Pies should encompass all around; I want all the pastry by Jove! "
This, plus shortcrust pastry. None of this airy, puffy nonsense.
Best pie- steak and ale |

"A pie in a wrap is quite good!"
A whatnow? Pie....in a wrap?! I've heard of a pie in a bap up north but is a pie in a wrap a London thing?!
Not sure I have a favourite pie, I have to be really in the mood to have one, I do like one of the pukka mince beef pies from the chippie every now and then |
