Woe is me!
Following on from Tom’s Asian Hornet thread, I’ve been attacked and drained of my precious life’s blood by unseen and unidentified assailants whilst out walking my pooch earlier 
I’ve now got three massive bites on my left leg and two on my left arm and am itching like a man possessed!
Good folks: Pray do share all your personal best (worst!) insect bite and sting stories

Not me, but I sent one of my team home last week when she showed me a bite on her leg, which she had gotten a week previous. Give that it was a large bullseye and she had been off with flu like symptoms, I sent her straight to the walk-in centre as it could be Lymes disease. |

Whilst driving a van with the windows down, I happened to pull a wasp into the cab. Little known to me until I started feeling it stinging my back, seven fkin times. I’d trapped it between my body and the seat.
It was not happy.

I know some folks say to ignore them and they won’t harm you…
I call’eth bullshit though! - The bastards are incessant and I’ve been stung before for no reason whatsoever (I wasn’t aggravating the little bastard at all)

I once spent 4 days in hospital on IV antibiotics after getting back from Goa when a mossie bite became infected.
Several weeks at the dressing clinic afterwards too.

I’m wondering if mozzies are the culprits in my case as they were certainly present during my walk earlier…
It’s curious to muse how something so small can create such a big (and highly unpleasant!) effect. |
