I know, I know, there's a day for everything, truly awful, marketing man's dream or scheme, capitalism is awful, millennials are the worst...
I don't care. It's cheese.
So... what's your favourite type of cheese? Cheese based/containing dish? What cheesy chat up lines would work on you?
Bring on the cheese. Just not any knob cheese, thank you. |

My clear favourite is Brie.
However, Tom has inspired me to have some Jingoistic pride.
Cheddar is a great cheese let's be honest. It's got a wonderful flavour profile and is incredibly versatile.
Wensleydale, Cheshire and Caerphilly are also right up there. More A tier than S though.
Aged Gouda with plum chutney and a glass of port is quite divine. A chat up line is unnecessary at that point, I find. The shared indulgence is all that's required as a catalyst. |

It's a Stilton though.
Actually, I'm not going to shame you on this holy day. Best way to eat it/recipe for it?"
My first thoughts on being presented with a sliver of Colston Basset, it's a Stilton, I don't like Stilton.
How wrong could I be......
Best way to eat it, let it breathe for a bit, plain crackers, grapes and a nice red.
Next time you're in London, we're going for cheese, I know just the place. |

I'll see your aged Gauda, chutney & port and raise to a dairylea cheese slice, white toast and brown sauce .. can of Irn Bru is optional but adds to the experience. |

Epoisse is my favourite cheese to eat with bread or crackers
My favourite dish with cheese would be my home made mac and cheese with chicken and broccoli added in and cheese on top melted and crisped up under the grill so delicious. Cheese would be a decent mature cheddar. |

I brieilliant thread Meli.
I’m simple, just a good sharp, mature cheddar. It’s all I need to get through cheese life.
Good on toast.
Great in a sarnie.
Makes awesome Mac ‘n’ Cheese.
Or just scoff lumps of it.

I guess it could work.
Or just squirt Cheese Whizz into your cake-hole?
Then let them lick it off your cock, sharing is caring after all.
Irn Brun has sweeteners in it now doesn't it? |

Who is Tom? I don't know Tom but he sounds like a fantastic bloke.
Good cheese-ing there Hans, never really had port and cheese but I might try it in twenty years or so. |

Yay for cheese! I hold cheese time very seriously to my heart so I hope this isn't one of those painful incidents where someone says (me, I say it) "yeah let's do drinks/food at some point in the future" and then it never happens. |

Utter filth. Sounds incredible.
Why do restaurants serve such poor macaroni cheese? It's normally made with some tasteless cheap variant, minimal cheese in it. Unseasoned blob of stodgy cheeseless pasta. Slight peeve of mine. |

Oh he's quite the character.
As much as I am convinced that you are capable of making up your own mind. I believe I waited said 20 years myself, and I regretted it the moment I was introduced to it, one fine sunny day in Amsterdam.
Hmmm now I am wondering what else I may regret 20 years from now. |

I make a fourcheese mac n' cheese, with extra mature cheddar, ricotta, parmesan, and Caledonian Blue. There's no flour in it, just the cheeses, butter, milk, mustard and seasoning. I top it with parmesan, and panko breadcrumbs, for oven baking. It never lets me down.

Asiago! Yes! So few have heard of it but it's sooo good. You have very good taste in cheese, shoes and fragrance Bella. |

Yes! You'll know that they're a decent person far more easily than on a coffee date. Plus, you get cheese. They could be an absolute throbber but cheese makes them palatable. |

Coffee allowed me to suck it down fast in the interest of needing to make a quick exit. With cheese, one has to linger around a bit longer.
But, it’s cheese…
Decisions. |

Zagato! Okay, so I'm going to try this. Normally I make a roux and add an excessive amount of various cheese (I tend to favour Italian) but this sounds really good.
Mustard is perfect for cutting through the richness of cheese, such an underrated macaroni cheese addition. |

I like cheese. Not able to eat too much of it anymore.
But cheddar is good
A crumbly Lancashire
Edam
Doux de Montagne, but sadly, Sainsburys have stopped selling it
Red Leicester - had one the other week with crunchy bits it, delicious.
I don't understand cheese with mould in though. Bleurgh! |

"Cheesey Beano for breakfast
What's a cheesy beano?
It’s toast topped with bacon, beans and melted cheese on top. It sounds basic but it’s nice lol"
Minus the bacon that sounds incredible. Fuck it, cheese is good in a basic way as well - love a good jacket potato with excessive amount of cheese or a baguette with good butter and cheese all separate and eaten how I want. |

Manchego with a wholemeal crackers and a chilli jam.
Halloumi on the bbq in kebabs with onions, peppers and mushrooms
Red leicster and caerphilly cauliflower cheese
Double Gloucester and beans breville with extra dbl glaws melted under the grill on top.
Marmite cheddar - just big fuck off chunks of it and a hefty glass of port |

I'm a lover of blue cheese but any cheese will typically do (not the UPF blocks or the GMO rennet though)

I never knew it was national cheese day today! And I’ve had done! Doh!
I am not a fan of blue cheeses or ones with fruit/spicy stuff in them, I’m a plain cheese kinda girl! And actually it’s been forever since I’ve had a cheese board/cheese filled meal and that needs to be rectified! |

Yes! If you're in Manchester any time soon there's a fantastic restaurant just outside called Brewski and they do the most dirty cheesy goodness... to an unimaginable level.
There's also Northern Soul. Best cheese toasties ever. Get some cheese in your life Booty! |

You won't hate, it's running commentary on cooking as she drinks a cocktail, ultimately ending with the words "Fuuuccckkkk orf"
One menu was a four cheese special, with one of the cheeses being a squirty one from a tube and another being Doritos! |
