Mr Barry Manilow.
Let’s be honest; EVERYBODY loves Barry - even though not all of us may admit to it in polite society.
Hey - You there shaking your head in denial - you lying shit bag! I love him, you love him; hell - even your next door neighbour’s cat loves him!
Well good folks this is the place, without judgement and amongst fellow Barry lovers, to heap praise upon this fine fellow.
So…..what is your favourite song by the venerable Mr Manilow? |

Mandy !
It came on the radio the other day and memories came flooding back of being 17 working for my dad we were on a job down jesmond dean (posh area) and Mandy came on the wireless and this massive fat bloke who was taking about 2 weeks to paint the front pillars on the same job got excited and was very intensely shouting the lyrics about 2 minutes an old posh nerd appeared and asked if we could turn the radio off not down off the stuck up cunt
Now I listen to it regular and think of that time haha |

That’s one of the greatest things about Barry’s songs; the ‘sing along’ factor. The joy of sharing them |

"Copa Cabana
It tells a story
Apparently, it’s being made into a film….
Actually, it’s quite a dark song ultimately yet one wrapped up in a decidedly joyful melody
Is it!
It is dark. "
You don't mess with Rico. |

I'm not sure Lola did anything but cause the kerfuffle.
I blame the dress cut down to "there" |

By the end of the song, Lola is left a broken woman, alone at the bar with only her memories of her former life and lover |
