Dear fellows, chums and male progenitors,
When a woman replies with a •• to a comment that you've made on a thread, how do you interpret it?
Those fluttering êyêlashes — what do they even mean in those circumstances? Is she flirting with you? Is she telling you that she likes you. Is this an invitation to take it offline and just message her directly? Is she simply and wholeheartedly agreeing with your post?
Or...is she tormenting you like a greek mythological creature and nothing more? |

"I'd vote for the last option.
Vicious sirenous herpies the lot of them
•
They have herpies, Prêy, my love? "
Believe me sweet Nëro, the harpies is the least of the issues you can contract from those heathens |

"Hang on, is the plural of emoji emojis or emoji?"
Both, the Oxford English Dictionary, Merriam-Webster Dictionary, and others have long listed both “emoji” and “emojis” as options. |

I've always taken it to mean they like a particular comment I've made but that's as fast as it goes.
I may respond to their response but not to the emoji. |

"I don't know what the emojis mean so i assume its a polite way of reacting without reacting if that makes sense"
•
@singlepringle888, it makes as much sense to me than the average woman makes to the above-average man on here. |

There is really only one way to find out! I use it in various ways mood and situation specific but normally just to add context to the comment! But then I am not a woman and they are all so very delightfully varied. |

YOLO, you're still the last person on Fab to discover the newest emoji. Can you not unearth another rare gem for us? Something that favours the men on here. |

Nah. I’m blessed with long, thick eyelashes. I can flutter with the best of ’em, male, female or trans.
"
Was thinking more indicatively than literally! Would never doubt your eyelash ability, RTG. Heaven forfend!

I had always assumed that when a woman did this it was some kind of nervous tick or else she had an eyelash in her eye.
Now if we want to go really deep, I have always been nervous of , since when I was a very small child my mother used to call that a 'butterfly kiss' and do that on my tummy. I clearly have issues more than half a century later |

"If someone replies with just an emoji and no text I assume they’re ending the conversation.
She definitely wants your p33n.
Again?"
The emoji has spoken. In fact, anything short of a legal restraining order means she definitely wants it. Those are the rules. |

This is the most plausible response, I think... considering the amount of tumble that drifts across the Fabland Badlands. Damn. I really thought she had designs for me. |

"Does it have to be from a woman Nero ?
Kidding.
Rightly or wrongly I perceive it as flirtaious.
"

It can be from anyone, I am 'wink agnostic'. However I can only ejaculate for a woman — rhetorically and anatomically. |

…"
In real life this could mean -
She wants….
Me to buy her a drink.
Order her an Uber home.
Lend her my jacket because she’s cold.
She’s just beat me at cards
She’s just thrown my dinner in the bin because she won’t admit I was right and she was wrong.
On fab.
It could mean absolutely anything. |

I thought of this post yesterday when a Fab man sent me a message with that emoji. I didn’t reply to his message simply because I didn’t have clarity on what he was using it to signify and also because this post makes it seem only Fab women should be using it.
I didn’t want to tell this man he was incorrectly using it, and should leave it to women. |

I think I've used it once or twice and it made me feel queasy, like some form of androgynous gesture.
I think it's best left to the women. |
