It's true that I don't receive many here so I really value the ones that I do get and always thank someone for their kind words." Agree on thanking the person. Some people just take the compliment and don't acknowledge them. I find that a bit disheartening when you've said often what may not be ready to come out with. | |||

"I guess it depends where the compliment is coming from. I get compliments from my wife pretty much every day, plus I am not shy in complimenting her too. When it comes to Fab, I get occasional compliments on my smile, my gold peacock feather shirt, and my collection of ‘mengerie’. But the best compliments are from those I've met in person through swinging, mainly at parties I've attended. Those really make me feel good, especially when it has resulted in having a bit of fun together "Awww that's lovely! Yes, I think in person compliments hit differently. I also think it's about knowing what somebody likes being noticed. There are certain compliments that whilst I'll acknowledge etc they don't have me grinning away like a Cheshire cat. | |||
