This might not be the thread you're expecting it to be.
When it comes to finding others attractive, do you have a particular body type you prefer/find yourself drawn to more often?
Is there one you don't find as attractive?

It's funny I was just thinking about preferences today.
I have preferences I tend to be drawn to more than others but they're not set in stone.
I also would never state my preference as others might not think they match they match when I believe they do.
Bit like the job descriptions we talk ourselves out of going for |

"I think I used to. But not any more. I literally love women. I love women of all shapes, sizes, races. I just love them all. I want them all. "
See, now I believe this from you because you're... well you're a bit of a slut.
If you did have a particular preference, would you mention it? |

Okay, I love this answer but it's giving... nothing.
So, what are those physical preferences you're more drawn to than others? Some examples of them?
Do you think if men state what they like it's a bad thing? |

Hi Meli x
I think I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t know what I like until I like it. I’m definitely a fan of eyes though, eyes that sparkle and sing! |

Ummm I don’t think I’d mention it in a profile or something no. But I’d answer the question if asked in the forums.
I used to only like bigger women. Only anyone thicc. But I think it was because I’ve always been big myself, even when I’ve been fit and muscular and didn’t like the idea of being so much bigger. But I don’t care now and just appreciate women in all forms. Because like you say, I’m a slut. |

I have things I very much prefer but, I can't think of anything that would make me 100% a no.
I probably have an upper and lower size limit but, I don't know what they are.
I'm not a fan of too much fakery either but, if you as person aren't as fake as you look, it's not a deal breaker.
Oh, a penis is a deal breaker. Or facial hair. That's not for me. |

That is totally true of me. If I don't think I match someones preference I simply don't bother to even ask/try.
However, it shouldn't stop you having or stating a preference? You are allowed to have them and it isn't wrong.

I usually go for the curvier ladies rather than the thinner ones, just because I like something to squeeze, assuming I get the opportunity — there's just something really satisfying about having a good squeeze, especially boobs which I love
My other preference is the non-smoker, but that's not something I can determine on eye contact alone, unfortunately. I appreciate it's not a ‘body type’ preference, but it's a preference nonetheless. |

I don't think I do. It's always been about facial attraction for me over anything else although I'll admit that I've gone through stages of preferring a more petite body type because with me being quite short and slim, someone petite helps make me feel a bit manlier which was totally just my own insecurity |

I don't think so.
I used to think it was the broader bearded long haired type for men. But I think that's just down to the people I was drawn to happened to look that way on the whole, because the socials groups and scenes I hung around in were predominantly that kind of look. So I was more likely to find someone who looked that way and sung to me than someone else I barely saw to get a feel for.
But no. Since I started worrying less about fitting into certain subcultures and groups and simply wandered off to find my own people it's anything. 6ft8 beanpoles, 5ft3 musclebound mini adonises, 5ft9 dadbods. Doesn't matter one iota to me |

I am way more fussy with guys than I am with women
With women attraction tends to be heavily driven by that 'click' you get with someone
With guys I am a bit fussy and far more clinical in my approach
I don't like really fit or muscly guys
I prefer average to stocky builds
Not too slim, not too large, not too
I once described it as 'they need to look like they look after themselves, but also enjoy a good pie' |

I'm not so keen on slim 'bean pole' look I'm afraid. I do love a beard on a man. That's what first gets my interest, however, it's always comes down to personality. They could be my idea of a god and be a twat, but another could be lanky and slim and be hilarious. I guess, to be friends, it can be anyone who isn't a deliberate dick. To be more than that, to begin with preconceived ideas on preferences will prevail, but you never know someone may slip past that and you don't see what they look like anymore but how you connect with them.
Women, I find someone with natural curves beautiful. I'm not so keen on exaggerated changes/enhancements, to be fair on both women and men as to me it looks weird (this does not include anyone who has had a sex change as that's a whole different kettle of fish). But again personality would win, would get over initial turn offs. Basically if your a dick I soon won't be interested however you look, but if we connect then it won't matter how you look.

Porcelain white skin.

Exactly that last part.
However, the first is the reason why people avoid stating what they like. A preference isn't an absolute. I've found that people can be rather binary in their thinking when it comes to... overthinking another's possible attraction to them.
Take veris. If a person is veri'd a fair amount by a particular "type" it doesn't mean they can't like others. But we allow our insecurities to deem it so. |

When I was younger, I was mostly attracted to petite women. I think this preference derived from my early experiences with Ailsa, who was indeed a tiny little lady. As we’ve aged and matured and as our experiences have broadened, I’ve come to appreciate that attraction is a mysterious alchemy and I never really know who might light that fire, it’s predicated on such a broad mixture of qualities. I think it’s probably true that Ailsa’s current body shape still acts as a kind of default, because she’s the person who makes up the biggest and most intense part of my life sexual life, but much like our marriage, it’s no longer exclusive. I hope that makes some kind of sense Xx |

A person's mind, the way they think, their imagination, the way they speak to me & behave with me, how it makes me feel. Their voice, smell, eye contact, smiles but also their mouth... Physically: usually broad shoulders/solid thighs on men, feminine curves or edges on a woman.
Turn offs: Socially awkward people, those that love the li_elight/ the chase/ the next new thrill or experience. Too much alcohol, smoking, drugs. Physically; people with no meat on their bones.

In terms of physical traits, no- I’ve got surprisingly wide-ranging appreciation of the female form. For me, my preference/type is based on personality. I’m an ambivert on a good day, with a tendency to introversion/introspection, so find myself more drawn to more extroverted partners, who are able to bring my social energy levels up a little. |

Yes.
If I was to describe my ideal man he'd be 6'2, work out, v lines, and have a sleeve tattoo and a hairy chest!
The guys I currently like don't fit into that category, I'd say I generally go for the 'fitter' body type though. I like pretty things.
Avoid? Those shorter than me. (Basically 99% of fab men) |

I would imagine that some might avoid stating specific preferences for fear of offending or else so as to ‘edge their bets’ - in doing so, upping the imagined chances of the sex stuff but it’s better to be honest.
I myself find it quite easy as I just proclaim ‘Boobs!’ in a fervent manner |

I do think you can say, I'm not attracted to those who are overweight. That's okay. It's a clear statement, you don't need to give exact measurements, the desired weight range. You could say that you're more drawn to women who are slender. On the forums I'd like to think no person would block you for stating such a thing.

We both appreciate beauty in lots of different ways but we are attracted to particular physical aspects. More so kez than me, she has more of a type that she likes, so as we are mostly here for kez to have a good play it does limit our already limited options.
As others have said attraction grows with how you see others not just what you are looking at. |

I prefer someone who takes care of themselves a bit.
That’s not a size thing, more that they don’t look like they crawled through a drain on the way here.
On paper I’ve a higher proportion of ladies with curves in my history, but that’s not a conscious decision.
I’m more bothered that they’ve showered and cleaned their teeth recently |

It makes sense but it's such a salted porridge of an answer. Bland. Fills you up without any particular flavour behind it, not particularly offensive. :D
Of course attraction is important. You can't have consensual sex without it.
Not having a preference or a body type you notice more, makes sense. x |

As someone who doesn't really fancy anyone until we've interacted and I've got a feel for their personality that's a really hard question. I've been attracted to various different body types. It's probably easier to state what I don't find attractive, which I won't.

And women?
Would you ever use the terms picky or fussy to describe yourself?
Haha. I’d never use those words to describe myself Meli! .
Women definitely curvy and booby "
Thank **** Nora, because of that you can have until the end of the month without me mentioning your youthful age. |

I thought i had a type but now I dont think i particularly do. There needed to be that attraction, I like to laugh and chat, so someone that can chat back is great and who has a stupid sense of humour and doesnt want to treat me like a glass doll.
Attitude and connectivity I am finding come first now, that ability to communicate back with whoever. Yes, of course, i want to like what i see, but the dad bod or the fit bod, either - bit cliche but the person is the important part to me. I want to get naked with someone i want to enjoy them. |

"I don't think so.
Doesn't matter one iota to me "
That's really interesting, I've found that people can either be more attracted to a certain type because of social groups, growing up etc or less so.
I know I've been a bit erm... state your preferences etc but sometimes people genuinely don't have one. I don't. I've gone through phases but now it's very much person dependent.

"It's funny I was just thinking about preferences today.
I have preferences I tend to be drawn to more than others but they're not set in stone.
I also would never state my preference as others might not think they match they match when I believe they do.
Bit like the job descriptions we talk ourselves out of going for
That is totally true of me. If I don't think I match someones preference I simply don't bother to even ask/try.
However, it shouldn't stop you having or stating a preference? You are allowed to have them and it isn't wrong.
MrsAbz
Exactly that last part.
However, the first is the reason why people avoid stating what they like. A preference isn't an absolute. I've found that people can be rather binary in their thinking when it comes to... overthinking another's possible attraction to them.
Take veris. If a person is veri'd a fair amount by a particular "type" it doesn't mean they can't like others. But we allow our insecurities to deem it so.
I hear you both.
And this place is hard enough without stating any preferences "
Ah Willy, I see your point. It is hard for men as it is.
Meli, is right too that a preference isn't an absolute though.
Simply, in my world, my preference is for someone who prefers my body type or has a broad approach to what they like.
So rather than see it as "I dont bother because they won't find me attractive", I see it as I won't be comfortable with them and therefore even if I initially found them attractive, it has passed now.
Think I make sense?

It’s the person. No one’s perfect and I’m not either. I suppose I’m most drawn to that and seeing in someone’s eyes if I can relate to them.
I thought I preferred curvier women but I don’t know I sort of got more curious about slimmer and shorter women too, it’s not easy to explain.
Absolutely fascinated by women with tattoos though |

Slim men with athletic style muscle, big dicks, long hair is a serious bonus.
Think line cook, life guard, warehouse lad type builds lol.
For women, size 12-14, massive bums, small boobs. Gingers/red heads really got to me. |

With women attraction tends to be heavily driven by that 'click' you get with someone
With guys I am a bit fussy and far more clinical in my approach
I don't like really fit or muscly guys

Not too slim, not too large, not too

Women will state their preference as they know what they want.
Men (mostly) won’t state their preference for fear of losing out on someone to have sex with.
I know that’s pretty harsh but in essence it’s very much the truth.
Men don’t have a certain type in terms of hair colour, type…I believe they are more attracted to personality or I am.
If I lined my ex GF’s up, there wouldn’t be an overall type for looks, but they’d all have an outgoing personality.

I'm into small feminine type men sadly I lack the body parts for 90 percent of men I'm attracted to luckily tho me and my husband have the same taste in men.
I like women with big boob's and big asses (bigger the better) full of tattoos and piercings and my husband is into the complete opposite .
Our preferences tend to be different with couples tho we tend to meet somewhere in the middle and we get to know the couples first become friends be able to have a good time and be relaxed around them.

Ah so slimmer* isn't quite for you? Fair. Would you openly have it on your profile?
*I'm not using thinner because if we're using curvier, we can use slimmer."
Apologies, my bad for using ‘thinner’ when I meant ‘slimmer’. I'm already open about preferring curvy ladies on my profile, but maybe I need to re-word it slightly. I guess you could say prefer female body sizes that are about a size 18-20, hence why I prefer ‘curvier’, if that makes sense.
Again, my apologies for any misunderstandings or offense |

"I'm not so keen on slim 'bean pole' look I'm afraid.
MRS"
Preconceived notions can initially attract you to someone, but it's more than that, you're right.
I'm not really discussing that though. Nor personality or a myriad of things that aren't how a person looks. I find people are quite cautious/wary because they don't want to put people off. A part of me thinks that's quite a shame. |

"When I was younger, I was mostly attracted to petite women. I hope that makes some kind of sense Xx"
It more than makes kind of sense George, I do understand.
I think our formative sexual encounters, our relationships etc, they can all have an impact on what we find attractive. It doesn't mean others can't be attractive to you. |

You're expressing an awful lot of human emotion here, I'm proud of you.
It doesn't rile me, I just think it's kind of sad really. I like when people are confident enough to say what they like. Even if they don't have a particular preference. Is it confidence or is it not caring about potentially upsetting others? Not sure. |

I think it’s difficult because as has been touched on already there’s a big difference between being initially, visually attracted to someone and seeing past the surface. I like to think that I’m attracted to a personality more than appearance and I honestly believe that I am although I do find my eye more often than not drawn to the more “cuddly” (for want of a better word) people, perhaps those red haired people and definitely someone with a gorgeous smile. That being said, I don’t need any of those things to be attracted to someone |

Size - tiny and small. Like smurfs, and probably slim women are my catagorical type.
But I’ve posted thread after thread about this, it’s very rare to find someone in my history of that type of woman. (There’s one or two) so it’s appropriate for me to say they are very nice to look at, but I don’t get along with an image. I get along with the person.

Not in the slightest. I have no preferences to body types, however I can find the strangest of things can physically attract me to a person, like how one corner of their smile might be lower than the other or the way a curve of a bicep or shoulder looks when covered with a t shirt. |

That's the kind of distinction I'm interested in. You can be drawn to someone more readily because of those features but at the same time they don't need to have those things. A preference, what you're drawn to isn't binding nor limiting.
Yet we can be so hesitant to mention it in case we put off others. It happens a lot on the forums? Away from, I've noticed people are far more likely to say what they're looking for aesthetically. That might be because it's more sex/fantasy based though? Who knows. |

I haven’t been physically attracted to a white or Asian man for a long time, so I tend to say my preference is black men.
I’m attracted to black, white and Asian women though.
I prefer tall, broad men with anywhere from an athletic/muscular physique to a dad bod type. I don’t find myself attracted to the extreme ends of the scale in terms of fat or thin.
I find curvy women attractive. And whilst I find very petite women attractive too, I almost never play with them as it makes me feel beastly as I’m a large woman.

Okay. So let's see. One, I know for a fact that Henriette has a physical preference. One that's more likely to catch her eye.
Secondly, we're not talking about the additional stuff. It was directly asking about an aesthetic you like. The other stuff has been covered numerous times but there appears to be a reticence to discuss any actual physical preferences/likes etc that doesn't end in people insulting a demographic.
I think the majority of us wouldn't find a person attractive if they were stiff bodied, hard to read. There's probably a person somewhere in the world who faps to that idea though. |

Drawn to. Yeah, I think drawn to is perhaps a more accurate way to describe aesthetic attraction. I'm not sure I'm keen on preference as a word any more.

"I'm not so keen on slim 'bean pole' look I'm afraid.

Apologies!!!!
So if I was on a naked attraction type show and didn't know them from Adam and was judging on appearances only.......for a man the type would be: beard and a bit of a rugged mountain man look, tattoos a piercing or three :D brown/black hair or going grey. His body shape would be sturdy and generally taller than me so I'd feel smaller and safer. Generally someone who could throw me around a bit.
A woman : I think approachable looking (ie I'd be put off by bitch faces as why would I want the drama - that's the impression it gives to me), boobs, bum as I want a hug with a bit of softness/squishiness. A kind/cheeky face

I probably do have a type but honestly it’s hard to define, as chemistry for me is 70% personality, 20% looks………and 12% a love of maths…… Wait, it’s 10% anal
