escort work is totally legal, I do escort work on top of my real job, I pay tax on my earnings, you couldn't do that as a prostitute as prostitution is illegal, the difference is I get paid for my time what I do in that time is upto me, your not looking at it in the same eyes as the law, your just seeing women getting paid for sex is the same thing, which to be fair it is but in the eyes of the law im not getting paid for sex, a man is buying a hour of my time, what I choose to do in that time is upto me, and not all men want sex, where as with a prostitute the guys giving her money for sexual favours favours only"
There is no law that stops a person paying another for sexual acts. There are however laws that prohibit certain actions associated with sex work, soliciting, kerb crawling, controlling, living off immoral earnings and keeping a bothel to name a few. There are new laws surrounding human trafficking all designed to stop people (usually controlling) from harming or taking advantage of sex workers.

I agree the word prostitute is very unforgiving in its description. That said being paid for time is stretching the point somewhat!

The other interesting issue here is lets say a escort disclosed in his or her tax return the income from such activities and lets say, for the sake of the arguement, that sex does on occassion take place. The tax paid could lead to the HMRC being accused of living off immoral earnings!

All women have the right to self respect and determination. I chose my words carefully so as not to give an impression that I was mysodginitic. I have never referred to a woan as a whore nor a man for that matter. I think its a symantical point!

You're either very naive or being deliberately obtuse.

whores will tell you not all men want sex from them, some just want company, some just want to talk, some just want their shoulders rubbed.

Escorting is legal PROVIDED no sex for money takes place, in reality sex for money takes place as often as with whores, so there is sweet fuck all difference between a whore and an escort.
