Huaraches of which I currently have five different colour ways.

Used to be an avid Air Force One collector / wearer but they just don’t do it for me anymore plus they cost the same now as a semi detached for a very basic trainer!

I mostly own Asics trainers. My son got me a pair of white Air Force 1s but never got on with them. Too chunky and heavy!

More recently I bought myself a pair of white leather Keds in the US and I was taken back to my Jr. High School days.

lol precisely.

In addition, many health benefits with allowing your toes to splay as naturally as possible whilst walking and having the whole sole one level without a heel is good for ankles, knees and hips

Camper™ — because they are comfortable, lightweight and quirky in their Iberian design philosophy.

Further to my earlier comment. I did not know that those folk in the West Country called them 'daps' also.

In parts of the West Country and Wales, they are known as "daps". There is a widespread belief that "daps" is taken from a factory sign—"Dunlop Athletic Plimsoles", which was called "the DAP factory".

The thread made me look into it, so something new I have learnt today. Thanks to this forum. : )

Can't wait to bore them all with this one down the pub on Friday night.
