Flintshire

I have travelled much of Europe and I have found many pleasant beaches. Whether that be the Costa Del Mar, Canaries, Belgium, Berlin, Croatia to name a few. I have found pleasant beaches at all of them.

However, my vote for the all time best ever beach has simply GOT to be here in North Wales. Specifically the beach between Harlech and Barmouth.

It is an area with a micro-climate and does have an awful lot of sunny days for North Wales. The beach is golden sand, it's very flat so paddling in the sea is easy. It is backed by sand dunes and has a good amount of beach which the tide never reaches even at the highest spring tides.

There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out, play beach volleyball or to simply relax on a towel.

There are no dodgy beach bars with obnoxiously loud music and there are no dodgy touts trying to flog souvenirs.

Of course, it is not completely perfect. There ARE jelly fish, but they are something to stare at in awe and wonderment.

Reaching the beach from mainland Britain does not require passports, ferries or aeroplanes.

What is not to like?

Oh, and there's also a nuddy section.

Clacton on Sea.

It isn't particularly pretty and it is no longer the town it used to be, but it is where I grew up and I love it all the same.

I’ll bite… it can be surprisingly pretty down there in the non-tourist spots.

But my all time favourite is Brighton beach

"Whitby is one of my favourites always enjoy a weekend away there how about you?"

Was just thinking about Whitby, woke up @ Flamborough head and drove to Filey but there’s not much to do here and exploring Filey Brigg tomorrow so I may head up to Whitby / Robins Hood Bay shortly and camp on the beach tonight

Seaford is my favourite to drive to for fish and chips and the car park is free

Eastbourne over Brighton as car parks are cheaper and on the whole much cheaper day out

Dymchurch actual beach is my favourite because it's sand and not pebbles, closely followed by Weymouth/Margate.
