And if so can you just stick money in a card?

Wouldn’t normally attend soppy shite like this but lad who looked after me for years at the builders merchant I use invited me to his Saturday so kind of feel obliged to show up unsure if your expected to take owt?

Somewhere In The Ether…

If unsure, just a congratulations card.

Mind you, I’m a really cheap sod so perhaps I’m not the best person to ask

I wouldn’t put money in a card. If you wanted to get them something thoughtful that you know they would like then do that, but money can come across a bit impersonal. Definitely take a card and maybe a bottle of champagne or something so you don’t go to a party empty handed?

That’s just how I would go about it. I’m not saying that’s right or wrong

Yeah, a bottle of bubbly.

They might not live together or get married for ages so I personally wouldn't get vouchers

If he has looked after at the builders merchant, I guess he has done you some good deals, saving you money and getting you work over the years right. So what do you think is 1% of what he has saved you ?

Ditto.

Always been my go to for engagement parties.

Can be saved for the wedding or the divorce.
