I just read a verification which stated the the verifier had met the verifee in person, I read it as

I met (so and so) in prison.

I thought that’s quite a meet.

At least you'd know the excuse they gave you for cancelling and having to go rescue a cat from a tree/visit their sick great grandparent/getting stuck on the motorway due to a loose herd of cows, was utter BS.
