..do you still close the door when you go to the toilet?

I did earlier, then wondered what I was hiding from.

Never. But since having a child that can walk I can't go in peace anyway. I always have an audience. It's an open door policy now, shut and it causes too much umbrage.

I remember when going to the toilet alone was the norm and not a luxury. Good times.

I close it as a special treat.

What’s next?

Not bothering to get dressed?

It’s a slippery slope to the end of personal standards.

"..do you still close the door when you go to the toilet?

I sometimes close and lock the toilet door, then wonder afterwards why I did it, but then I guess it could be considered as a habit or muscle memory.

Then again, I have days where I can't be bothered to close (and lock) the door. I'm pretty random sometimes.

Around the Midlands

I push it closed but not fully into the frame. Leaving it completely open would feel strange even though no one is around! Must must be an inbuilt thing I guess

Mine are finally getting to an age where they don't want to watch me on the toilet. They will just walk in without checking though, so I do have to yell that I'm having a poo if the door starts to open.

Adds a little excitement to an otherwise humdrum existence

I close the toilet door when I'm alone but that's mostly to stop the cat from coming in

Agreed. I only have to wear clothes as my new place has glass everywhere. I didn't think of that when i bought it. Miss the days of wandering around the house naked!

Luckily we're second floor, put some vertical blinds up for a bit of privacy... it's too hot in our flat for clothes, even in winter!

I do, more habit than anything I think, altho when I am showering in the house alone I lock the front and back door and the bathroom door, I've watched way too many horror films, have to barricade myself in!

I close and lock it because my toilet is next to the front door, so someone could come in busting for a wee and go straight to the loo.
