Somewhere In The Ether…

Here’s a highly divisive one; it comes onto Prime on March 21st.

Who will be watching it or does the very thought of this particular remake fill you with abject disgust?

I’ve just seen the trailer and….well, it actually looks rather fun (Conor McGregor is playing….erm…Conor McGregor by the looks of things)

This one remake I'm looking forward to. It looks and feels cheesy which I think will make a refreshing change.

I don't mind that it is being remade but the one thing putting me off watching it is the fact that McGregor is in it.

Not his lack of acting ability, just his lack of anything even remotely likeable.

Fear not, from what I’ve seen, he’s a dick playing a dick and will surely come a decent cropper at Jake Gyllenhaal‘s hands

The original wasn’t a fantastic film just a B movie with an A Movie Star. I doubt anyone watched the original and thought it was an original script or couldn’t see the ending well in advance.

However what made it worth watching was Patrick (and also a bit of Sam Elliott) he made the film more than just corny action flick. Good actors can make a B movie in to something worth watching and cult status.

Looking forward to the remake as it looks like they’re doing the same, with another charismatic actor and even a real life tough guy. So yes I’m looking forward to it.

Love the original with our Patrick, and in all honesty, I think this remake looks very good indeed!

The new topgun film made me rethink my attitude towards making old films new again.

They shouldn't have messed with this one. Same with Dirty Dancing....no-one can do it like Swayze did x

Nope. Nope. Nope.

Just like I've never watched the remake of Footloose I'll never watch this.

Some cheesy classics should not be remade.

Not a fan of Jake Gyllanhaal in tough guy roles and Conor mcgregor fighting in bars is at least realistic, normally he’s beating up old men in pubs. The original was lighting In a bottle and is hard to recreate

Paper Town Central, Essex.

Omg.

Whatever next....

Breakfast Club.

Pretty In Pink.

Grease.

Return Of The Killer Tomatoes.

Some films should be left alone.
