"Mississipi burning Gene Hackman and Willem Dafoe "
Honestly, any film around race tensions in America has stuck with me. Mississippi Burning, A Time to Kill, American History X. When done right, they're so powerful. |

Everything everywhere all at once
Totally full on wild film with a great storyline, cinematography and visuals, but the deeper message if you watch it beyond the surface is actually really powerful. |

I love the impact and power a film can evoke; whether it be to scare, to make us laugh, to move one to tears of sadness or else joy, to cause anxiety (in a nail biting sense), excitement and even to make one angry in some cases (whether due to vexing events on screen or else due to the film being so bad that one desperately yearns for one’s time and money back!) |

"Devil's Knot, its based on a horrific true story, and the documentary Paradise Lost based on the same horrific case had me in bits as well."
Just looked up "Devil's knot", that's truly awful. |

Other than the lighter one I posted above, a dark one that seem to stick in the mind for a few days was "Hereditary". The storyline and cinematography of the film is amazing but I do not recommend anyone watch it to be honest. You have been warned if you do. |

"Which film or programme had the most profound effect on you?
Mine would have to be Threads, portraying the horror of nuclear war. Even now I can get the chills thinking about it."
Watched this again recently, very disturbing |

It’s funny you say, mine was where the wind blows, also about the after effects and events on a U.K. blast.
I was about 8 and cried like a baby. It’s haunted me ever is me with night terrors on running and prepping for a blast. |
