Which actors would you say are ones that wouldn’t instinctively be actors that are your favourite by any shot but in looking at films over the years you’ve enjoyed you suddenly realise they’re in an awful lot of those that you have?
Just realised it’s Michael Douglas for me. Not him per se but random films I’ve liked he seems to be there!
Black Rain, Wall Street, A Perfect Murder, The Game, Disclosure etc.
And yet I’d never have named him as an actor I like or especially rate.

Keanu Reeves.
Don’t get me wrong, he seems like an absolutely lovely fellow but do I rate his thespian skills?
Christ no!
However, he’s been in some (and headlined) some fantastic films over the years |

He is the most unlikely Jonathan Harker! Yet I love "Bram Stoker's Dracula" (chiefly for Gary Oldman and Anthony Hopkins), so I'll forgive him. |

Arnold Schwarzenegger. The man effectively plays himself every time out! Yet a lot of his films have been iconic. He even took the piss out of himself with The Last Action Hero. And you know what? I enjoyed Kindergarten Cop. |

I recall an interview with Keanu in which the presenter teased him about his performance (and dodgy accent!) in Dracula.
Showcasing what a gent he is and in wonderfully good humour, Keanu took it squarely on the chin and basically admitted how bad he was in it
Funnily enough though, there was one film in which I was admittedly taken aback at just how good he was in the role of a particularly nasty character (completely at odds with his real life persona ironically) - The Gift in which he appeared alongside Cate Blanchette
