I don’t know. I hope so. A good apology contains acknowledgement that you’ve done something that wasn’t okay for the person you’re apologising to. Takes responsibility for the action. Does not expect forgiveness. Does not blame the person you’re apologising to for the thing you did.

I think so. If I'm genuinely sorry for something, not only will I own my crap but I'll also try my darned hardest to not repeat it. That's more important to me than words that I think are said far too freely and easily.
