Somewhere In The Ether…

Ey up good folks

You know that I always give you awesome film and TV series recommendations, right?

Well, here’s another one

I was overjoyed to see that one of my all time favourite films has now been added to Plex (so you can now all watch it for free - you cheap buggers you!)

Anyhoo, if you loved The Shawshank Redemption then you absolutely owe it to yourself to watch ‘Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky’.

It’s absolutely incredible; possibly even representing the zenith of the cinematic art form in fact and details the heartfelt story of one man’s incarceration in a particularly brutal penal institution and his subsequent struggles for the civil rights of his fellow prisoners.

I myself was brought to tears in multiple scenes, so puissant is the raw emotion evoked in this masterpiece - It’s absolutely beautiful!

Please, I implore you all to watch it; I promise you won’t be disappointed…

Dune is ok, but will depend on the other installments as to whether it stands up against the original!

Another vote for Past Lives. Best film I’ve seen in the last few months.

If you want to see something great at the cinema then The Holdovers is wonderful.

If you want to see something great at the cinema but maybe not quite as great as it thinks it is but involves an awful lot of Emma Stone’s naked body, then go see Poor Things.
