Ever had a random question that you want to ask? Well here you can post a question and hopefully a professional would see an give us an answer.
My question is for the estate agents.
Why do you put the most expensive properties on your front windows, properties that only the minority can afford when you can list regular homes that cater for more of your potential clients??? |

I'm not an estate agent but I woyld have thought that was pretty obvious.
Estate agents are paid a commission as a percentage of a properties sale value, therefore, they are likely to put in a little more effort to selling the properties that will earn them the highest commissions |

To answer the Estate agent one, I am not an estate agent but have sold several houses, the cheaper houses always sold fast where the more expensive ones took more marketing and longer to sell.
This could be the reason the more expensive the house less people that can afford to buy it.
Estate agents often have waiting lists for houses near decent schools etc.
One of my houses i sold never got advertised they already had enough people interested.
They arranged a viewing day and it sold that day. |

My right shoulder has been aching when I lay down after a few hours of sleep the aching feeling gets worse. It eases when I lay on my back. Should I be stretching or resting it ?

Dear Software Developers/Programmers,
In an age where computer processing power has never been faster, why are so many websites & apps so unbearably slow?
There's no excuse for a webpage taking 20-30 seconds to load in 2024, even including all your ads & cookie warnings.
There's no earthly reason why the app of a certain PRIME marketplace which used to specialize in e-books, takes a solid MINUTE to fully change the product pictures from one colour of jumper to another & load your delivery preferences. |

Look at the tech you are using. If it's several years old could be the answer. I think they are all in with hardware makers so an upgrade is prompted sooner rather than later! |

Although I do agree that I think the software devs & hardware manufacturers do collude in a "planned obsolescence" scheme, I think it's more down to the fact that many programmers are just lousy.
My phone is not new by any stretch, but it can still, for example, comfortably run most 3D video games downloaded from the play store at 60 frames per second.
A video game is a far more complex piece of software than an app that simply displays products from a list, or a basic webpage with mostly text on it. This is where I struggle to understand... |

It's likely a subacromial impingement / bursitis with your age and description. Shoulders are tricky in that sometimes problems can arise from outside the area. Use as comfort allows until knowing more. Stretching / mobility exercises only if you feel the joint is stiffening up. |

Anyone who has run a software team will tell you that developers won’t even talk between their own team members let alone collude with an entirely different industry.
The answer, IMHO, is a mixture of slow networks, loads of unnecessary code libraries that marketing and other departments have insisted are mission critical and poor software quality driven by unreasonable time expectations and an unwillingness by management to spend time on stuff “that works”. |

Question for pension specialist
Instead of lumping a voluntary amount into my private pension should I just weigh into an ISA? And if I die who gets my pension?
A bit disillusioned because my pension pot will be about £400k yet I only get £6700 taxable income per month. If I retire at 67 and die at 77 I feel slightly analysed by the plan and government |

It's not the designers fault, it's down to how cars are built now.
They're built as sub assemblies the are then "married" to the shell. This invariably means there will be bolts and hoses that cannot be easily accessed.
Blame consumer demand of more packed into a smaller space. |
