Women, do you even like compliments?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Or do you get them TOO much.
Fab unspoken rules dictate the guys are alot more forward and complimentary than women are. Are you ladies sick of getting the compliments? Do you think it's added to egos?

A persons reaction to almost anything is heavily influenced by whether they fancy them or not
“I love your X” is going to be taken very different if it’s someone you really fancy vs someone you really don’t |

I like genuine compliments. The intent behind them is important to me.
I actually quite like compliments that are based on my physical appearance. I get far more on my written word or some personality trait and whilst that's lovely, I like feeling like I'm sexually attractive to someone. Or that people notice how I look etc. |

"99% of the time on here they’re bollocks
You mean I don't have the sexiest body on fab? Damn, that's disappointing
Same babes, same "
I've never had that one So at least you're both in with a chance of actually having the sexiest body on fab!

I don't think I've ever sent a cringeworthy compliment on here.
I tend to compliment profiles in general, forum comments and remarks, and photo styles, rather than make specific references particularly to bodies.
I find complimenting someone's looks or aesthetics that I don't actually know incredibly hard.
Just because they visually may look appealing doesn't mean they have a good personality or aren't a total fucknugget.
I also find it hard to be on the receiving end of compliments unless, again, it's someone I know or have met previously.
You can easily be nice and polite without resorting to fawning sycophancy. |

What’s with that “compliment” that does the rounds in direct messages that says, “you make my girlfriend look like dogshit”, over the years I’ve been here I’ve had it off so many different men!
It’s horrific! |

"Depends on what kind of compliment.
Compliments on my looks generally make me uncomfortable.
Compliments on my personality are usually better received.
I liked your personality? "
As in...past tense? |

"I find it strange men message my husband complements ....about me. Congratulation him on how nice my bum is lol. Its like I'm not even a person more of a object my husband owns. "
Congratulations for having a winner of a husband on account of him managing to seduce you?
That works better right? |

Not all compliments are created equal… there’s so much cheap and shallow complimenting here… hard to take much pleasure from it… (and before this turns into another battle of the sexes… I think all genders do it). |

Call me “old fashioned” but I don’t see why a compliment should go unliked? I get it that some aren’t well received, or if given in a derogatory way. I would only be giving one because I liked a women’s figure or particular photo in their profile. Attraction comes first right? |

I mean a gold star or some kind of trophy would also be nice but yeah that will do.

You’re old fashioned. No one has to like anything just because you say it |

Too much of a good thing. If all you get are compliments, it ceases to mean anything and in fact, makes you just roll your eyes so hard they almost roll back into your skull |

Or harass me - persistence works, shy bsirns get nowt, and I am easily worn down in to having sex with men I find physically… and personally… not appealing.
Just kidding. I find EVERYONE appealing.
