I tend to find that my personal favourites all have a quirky quality to them; Christopher Walken for instance.
I also love the versatility of an actor like Ethan Hawke who seems to have dipped his acting toes into pretty much every genre going (and who incidentally, I watched in a rather spiffing action film yesterday, namely, 24 Hours To Live - my recommendation to you all today)

Michael Sheen. He really seems to inhabit the people he plays.
Also Brian Blessed in Henry V. The 'armoured ultimatum' scene (it's on Youtube), shows just how bloody good he can be.  |
