I love both of these songs! Didn’t she do formation at the superbowl? She’s so epic. |

"I like Love On Top but I don't know enough of her repertoire to have an informed opinion."
This is an excellent choice though. I love this song. I wouldn’t call myself a Beyoncé fan but I know a lot of her songs. Love on top is one of the best for sure. |

Yeah, let's not as millennials do the Boomer/X shit of declaring that anything that comes after us is invalid because they're all just babies. (Or not seriously at least. I'm sticking to my joke with the OP)
Beyonce is clearly X/Millennial derived. Like, the 1990s. 12 year olds were born in 2011 and probably think the 1990s are the stone age. |

I mean, I don't love that, because some Boomers really aren't and it's a bit of ageism.

At my volunteering there were a couple of ladies, both of whom have now passed, who called the Queen "that young girl" (they were older than her tbf) and every time some cultural reference came up they hadn't heard of, they'd nod sagely and say "it's before my time". |

I'll be honest I prefer the stuff she did with Destiny's Child to her solo work. It's mostly nostalgia to be honest, but The Writing's On The Wall & Survivor still have songs I will listen to even these days. |

I prefer destiny's child too, especially the early stuff. "Say my name" is a fav. I used to have
an ex BF that would sing this to me when I was with my new boyfriend to try and wind him up. Was annoying at the time but I find it funny now.
Was that the video where they had completely replaced the band too. |

My favourite off that album was probably 'so good' & I liked 'get on the bus' because of that classic, old school Timbaland beat.
I liked 'nasty girl' off Survivor, even though I have basically turned into the girl in the music video in later life
That song gets a lot of controversy now, as many people see the lyrics as shaming women for expressing their sexual empowerment.
I guess lyrically it is very much of its time & sounds dated now, but fuck it I still like the song |

Upgrade U. My fiancé is too old for my crap but it's far too much fun to play/singalong to.
I don't know if this counts but Video Phone ft Lady Gaga. The ch*kehold this song had on me. Rediscovered it recently.
And Don't Hurt Yourself. So satisfying, that final bridge is
