Lying in bed on a rare day off the other morning, and thinking how quiet it was outside.

I'm normally up for about 7.30, and when I was a child (about 60 years ago!), there was always a 'dawn chorus' of soooo many different birds. But there's nothing these days. The RSPB reckon bird population has decreased 65% in three decades. Such a shame.

Somewhere In The Ether…

It is truly heartbreaking to read of our native wildlife’s empirical decline.

I sadly also couldn’t help but to notice the distinctly diminished levels of birdsong this year.

Certainly, in years gone by, I invariably awoke to the beautiful, rich tones and delightful song of the Blackbird
