I like Star Trek IV. It's a fun film. Not as good as Wrath of Khan, but it's entertaining.

My favourite is Voyager, and I have a great fondness for TOS. I'm rewatching Enterprise currently, and it doesn't get the love it deserves.

ST:The Motion Picture is a favourite despite its strange production choices. I enjoy The Undiscovered Country - Christopher Plummer is great. Star Trek Beyond incorporates a lot of classic plot elements, and rekindles the original series dynamic between Spock and Bones (nicely done Simon Pegg and co. For the script, and Karl Urban and Zachary Quinto for getting Bones and Spock right).

Look on Youtube - theres a brilliant fanfic series called "Star Trek Continues". It bridges the gap between TOS and The Motion Picture. I was sceptical, but it's first rate!

Somewhere In The Ether…

My personal favourite series are TNG and DS9

Best film?

I absolutely concur with the often referred to equal number rule of thumb as regards the films quality.

Star Trek 2, 4 and 6 featuring the original cast and First Contact and Nemesis with the TNG cast.

I must admit that I have been pleasantly surprised by the reboots starring Chris Pine et al.

Well….not so much the second one though as it lazily opted to simply rehash the sacrifice from The Wraith Of Khan.

Star Trek Continues was cracking. Great production values and guest stars.

A shame Axanar got shutdown, had promise

Yes.

It was so good, that in my mind it's now canon. Lol

couple, us we him her.

Strange new worlds is good apart from the dodgy singing episode .

Also discovery was really good until it was taken over by wokery.

I haven't really watched any modern Star Trek. Loved Voyager and DS9 and always wanted them to get a film instead of the Next Generation cast being in them all.

Grew up on TNG and I have watched almost everything now, beyond the newest stuff sat on Paramount.

Glad Netflix picked up Prodigy as well.

Also have my own uniform, should that ever manage to be a meetup kink...

Oh god don't make me choose. I didn't grow up with Star Trek and came to it in my 30s and watched all the episodes that were available at the time in release order. I keep thinking about going back to it again and watching in star date order. Ohhhhh I am off to make a definitive decision on my favourite now.

I way prefer the TV series over the films though

I didn't think I would like lower decks but it really surprised me for how much I enjoyed it.

I like the first 3 films. Next Gen and Deep Space 9 when I was a kid but not watched them in years.

I find this very suprising opinion from a trekkie. Star Trek has always been a promoter of acceptance of what is different.

I enjoyed the first two seasons of ST Picard. Actually I enjoyed the third too, but it was really just an excuse to get the TNG gang back together.

Deep Space Nine and TNG are my favourites.

TNG is one of my highlights but also really enjoyed Picard, Discovery took a bit of getting into but I ended up really enjoying it.

Absolutely love SNW and binge Lower decks.

As for the films, anything JJ involved I just don’t like, First Contact and Undiscovered Country are brilliant but nothing beats Wrath of Khan.

As for those complaining about Discovery being “woke”… give yourself a slap you utter idiots
