I'm rarely misunderstood when I joke so that's a good measure of comedian's success to start with? I don't need to explain my humorous comments in life neither and there is hardly ever a confused silence afterwards, so overall not bad  
And yes, you have lots of funny moments OP. Miles liked your comment a lot yesterday:

No. I know a lot of people who are professionally funny. They get paid to be funny on stage and I'm not.
I might be decent value in conversation, so I've been told a lot, but I'm nothing compared to them  |

I know I’m at least a little bit funny. I’ve been told by many friends, colleagues, lovers etc. so it must be a little bit true.
The people that find me the funniest are obviously people that have similar humour to me or are familiar with some of the black cultural references I make. |

For example at work this week I made a joke with a boondocks reference. One of my colleagues got it (yes he was). People that aren’t into the same things as me I think assume I’m a bit strange and annoying. |
