to vanilla after being involved in the swing lifestyle.

If you met and fell for someone completely vanilla that you knew would never ever agree to swinging as a couple, and that you could not tell of your experiences on here, would you be able to settle down for life with them?

Surely this is going to depend on you as a person and your commitment to being faithful to someone. If I met & fell for someone who was Vanilla and would never swing then I would leave swinging for them.

I wouldn't break the ties I had to swinging and the friendships I have made but I would expect my friends to respect the fact that I no longer am actively on the scene

Now that I know what Vanilla is ....If he didn't want to swing as a couple, he'd have to agree to me swinging on my own (I'd be fine with that). If he can't accept that, tough. Wouldn't work.

I've tried vanilla and I'm missing the monogamy gene I reckon - that's why I've no desire to have a relationship in normal life - plus I actually like my own company so see no need to change my lifestyle - it's took me a while to get here so I'm gonna keep on enjoying it

Honestly not sure, but I guess if I loved them I'd want them to be happy so would at the very least try. I couldn't hide my experiences from them though as they've been a big part of my life, and to me hiding it would be dishonest and no way to start a relationship even if swinging weren't to be a part of it in the future. Ideally though if I were to meet someone he'd be someone I could continue to share these experiences with x

Swinging isn't the be all and end all to my life, its not the nicotine in sex but saying that I am not a couple and so its slightly different.

for a single person you could retitle it "if you met someone you fell for totally could you stay faithful" as its a similar question for a single to answer.

That's useful. I kept thinking 'back to what?' I could be monogamous in a mutally monogamous relationship.

Thats very true, I was thinking from the point of someone who had been in a monogomous relationship previously.

I wonder how many people on this site are here because they are lonely and hope to find relief for a few hours through intimate human contact?

Its not always about just a purely physcial act.

Maybe not intentional deception, a relationship that starts as casual ( you would not necessarily tell the other person your full past at this point). and then moves on to a solid and deep love (by which time you dont want to tell them for fear of losing them).

When I started out on t'internet I met someone who really only wanted to cuddle. I was a little frustrated at first until I realised that he got so much pleasure just from the chance to be intimate and chat.

Sometimes, the greatest need is the need to feel wanted.

What makes you think you are not 'wanted' ?, just cos you are single doesnt mean you are not wanted. There will be someone out there with a massive 'hots' for you, you just need to wait til he plucks up the courage to come forward

In the mean time, enjoy yourself on here xx

I presume that's not just the feeling of being wanted as in desired, sexually. But rather the wanted that comes from someone who wants you, the whole package, who desires all of you - mind body and soul?

I would like to think if the feelings were there for another person, they wanted a monogamous relationship then a lot would. I guess its weighing up the sexual variation against a contented fully emotional relationship if it has to be a straight choice and making it. For me I like to think it wouldn't be that hard but that's me I am a decisive person.

with you on that...its lovely having the freedom I have right now but do miss having someone in my life that cares and is interested in me as a person not just as shag and to do normal things with eg having someone to go to the cinema with and cuddle and stuff. I'd love to have a friend like that whilst still maintaining my freedom...best of both worlds!
