An interesting concept, especially this week.
I'm not sure about ultimate feminists but knowing yourself, taking responsibility, seeking and promoting gender equality are all part of feminism. |

I'm in control of everything in my life, and play a major part in others.
My 27 yr old son said I'm the strongest woman he knows and a roll model to him as well. Don't think it matters I'm a female, he's had a lot of positive input from me and is a great man for it. |

"are the ladies on fabswingers the ultimate feminists as not only have they took control of their contraception but also their sexuality and their sexual lives" Good thread. If you mean a a person who believes in equality, joint responsibilities in parenting offspring, sharing some "events" and chores good communiaction between the genders based on mutual respect for the natural differences while seeking common ground.. then I am a feminist. I do not however believe in an unnecessarily aggressive attitude towards men - it shows weakness rather than strength.

..... only time I had anything to prove was when doing airframe engineering in the RAF, it really was a mans world then and I had to be twice as good as them to survive, career-wise. |

That smacks of bullying. An unattractive trait in either gender. |

I get that - when I worked in industry I was working as an engineer and being the only woman amongst 50 blokes ...it was hard sometimes and I had to be better (or perceived to be at least as good). Lots of pressure back then which is better now.
I was more thinking about social situations, conversations, banter etc. I tease men but I dont feel the need for the power up BS. |

I do think we are going a little backwards. Lego producing a range (mostly pink) just for girls, for instance.
The rape and domestic violence statistics don't get any better.
Hearing young women describe their ambition as being a WAG worries me. |

I am concerned with young women wanting to get pregnant to be entitled to housing without a thought about their education and medium to long term careers. |

I dont think you can really stereotype all women on any swinging site ,in any way to be honest. You also have to define the concept of feminist traits which fulfill the criteria for feminism.
I find an intelligent women ,self fulfilled in HER own world far more a feminist than a woman who competes with men by emulating male behavior and traits. |

It is a good question, however I have no idea what an 'ultimate' feminist is.
Believe me, women on here or not , are NOT in control of their contraception or their sexuality and most of them are not in control of their own finances either.
Hanging out on a swingers site isn't a measure of recognition by society as a whole.
If I wanted women to be fairly and equally represented where it matters in society I wouldn't advocate logging on and fucking about as example of the capabilities. |

Are you saying... a woman who emulates male behaviour and traits is not very "sexy" (in the broad sense of the word)? |

Before the range came out last year did she like Lego, in all of its non-pink glory? It used to be one of the things that the kids played with equally and I'm just a bit sad to see them separating Lego by gender when they now play. |

She wouldn't know if she liked lego. No one bought her any. At five she's not exactly in control of the family budget. I chose the pink lego to get her interested.

I don't have a problem with pink Lego, per se. My problem is the gender marketing of bricks that stick together.
I remember when my nephew discovered his favourite colour was a 'girl' colour and that he 'shouldn't' play with tea sets. It was a sad day. |

Not all ladies on fab are here because they want to be they are doing it from loyalty to a partner, to keep them happy or through coercion, some of them are very far from being feminists for that reason. |

Clothing is a really hard one. The answer should be why not? but gendered clothing for children seems to be one area where people get really cross when you dress boys in things made for girls. |

Not sure that it's feminism more a case of being on my own after being divorced and taking control of my life. I either make an effort to go out and meet people or I stay at home with the kids.
Notfeminism more a case of staying sane. |

white power is human rights...
you see, this is why feminists are universally ridiculed, because they are incredibly dumb....
as soon as a subset has rights, then by definition the superset does NOT have those same rights, so by definition you just ended equality.
in the political sense feminism is marxism by any other name, and marxism is about nothing anywhere near equality |

So you can't have equality ever because someone has to cede some of the power and rights they have in order to balance out that power, therefore making them unequal?

"are the ladies on fabswingers the ultimate feminists as not only have they took control of their contraception but also their sexuality and their sexual lives"
Well that's a question and a half although I would disagree with it in the main as I see them dropping into 2 other groups. Those who are confident,, relaxed and happy with their sexuality. and those with low self esteem who find swinging helps boost self image through complements and caring words from other users. But saying that I see the word feminist as a negative term as its often associated with manhaters.
I guess we all see things differently though but that's my view all the same. |

My feelings haven't been hurt. My chances to advance and be paid the same as men in my career have been at times. Having abuse hurled at me for being black was harder to deal with when I was younger.
I've carried my own load, as have many women, for all of my adult life and started some years before that. If you thinking eating shit should be done in silence then that is what to think. I like conversation with my meals. |

She stood by her man as she had more political aspirations than he did."
I don't doubt that either. |

Finding it ironic in a sarcy kinda way that Hillary should be promoting women s right yet she "stood by her man" while he did the dirty on her...some example she is!! Ah but wait, got her where she wanted to be i guess...
To answer the OP s question, i mulled it over a while and at first thought yes i m sure those pioneer feminists would have been well chuffed to see where their movements led them if you reckon fabettes are the ultimate feminists but there again maybe you are rght, women do seem to have all the power on here, they know how to use their bodies to get a man for sure, for a shag anyway..is that being an ultimate feminist though? Maybe it is. Sorry guys ...seems you got it harder (pun not intended) than you realised |

'Women's Rights are Human Rights' was a famous speech by Hillary Clinton at the UN Conference on Women held in Beijing 1995. Guess shes dumb too then
Hitlary, as dumb as a box of rocks, you go girl...
She isn't dumb lets be fair but she isn't that bright either as the whole world knew Bill was fucking anything in a skirt apart from her so she isn't button bright.
I think she knew and always knows when he is playing away. He was really dumb in his handling of the whole Lewinsky farago and she bailed him out by standing by her man.
She stood by her man as she had more political aspirations than he did." Indeed, this clever lady did! She also gave an interview once (Sunday Times?)explaining that a marriage is about a lot more than an affair - a life time of history, children, friends etc. Either way, a smart woman - often disliked and ridiculed by men who do not understand her or cannot cope with her intellect and education. |

I honestly don't think membership of this site is the marker of an ultimate feminist (whatever that is). Someone fighting for womens equality would be more likely to be chasing equal pay and rights, although they would applaud the attempt to grab back ownership of our bodies and sexual equality.
But there are too many women on here just doing it for their OH, or to impress men. And seeing the attitude of some of the male members on here towards women, and the fact they are shocked, SHOCKED, that a woman turned them down, I think there is a long way to go before we can say the majority of women on here are preceived as equal to men. |

What kind of 'fab' gender equality are you after? What 'power' do you think they have that you haven't got/want? |

Not 'Fab' equality. I am aware that, as a single female, I stand more chance of an actual meet that the single men. But some of the remarks I see on the forums and in profiles can grate a bit. I often wonder that if thats what they think of us on here, is that what they think of us in real life. Apologies for any confusion. |

I m afraid the sterotypical fab guy is only here for a shag, no actually many many many shags. think you are probably referring to the lack of respect some show? I m afraid i don t believe you are going to find much respect on here, even if some have mastered the art of saying just the right words to charm...it s just plain and simple sex and most men loose control when they see pictures of boobs and fannies all laid out for them...i m no guy but i m pretty sure respect is the last thing on.their mind!
As for whether that s how they see women in the outside world too..Well this is probably a whole other debate...i truly can t answer that...pretty scary thought actually.. |
