Listened to The Verb on Friday night and there was a folk singer (A_elia Coburn) who did an amazing, pure voiced, stripped down version of Wuthering Heights.
Also bit addicted to the first five tracks (cheat I know) Mountain Goats' album All hail west Texas.
Each song is about two minutes but is like getting a glimpse of a paragraph from a short story collection. You finish listening and want to know more about what happened to the characters. He has a right turn of phrase too, the tunes are catchy, and he's funny too. |
