What are your top three picks?

Drukqs - Aphex Twin

Journey Inwards - LTJ Bukem

Leftism - Leftfield

(bonus pick)

Hold Your Colour - Pendulum

It would seem I am stuck in the 90s (mostly), so anything more modern would be nice to see.

Good choices , Leftfield and Aphex twin are on my list.

For a bit more modern and very moody listen to Sylvan Esso by Sylvan Esso.

That’s my 3

I've never listened to any his music before, heard the name loads of times over the years... Think I get him mixed up with Vangelis a lot

Alicante, Spain. (Sometimes in Wales)

Not modern, but class.

Happy Families album by Blancmange 1982. I might dig out some old Gary Numan stuff too.

Hmm Leftfield would make both our lists.

Accelerator - The Future Sound of London

Screamadelica - Primal Scream

Unami - Folomour

Thievery Corporation any of the albums are good.

Although not sure if that falls into the right genre, as with previously mentioned Sault is worth checking out might or might not be to soulful. Also Jungle (the band)

Justice might be more of a modern take on what you like. Black Midi also maybe.

More recent try

Barry Can’t Swim - Where will we land

Or Bicep / Floating Points

It's weird... although those are all electronic groups, I just consider them 80s pop.

Aside from Kraftwerk who are pioneers.

I'm really liking some of the tracks by Folomour

I don't usually go in for house type 4X4 music, but some of the tracks do bop along nicely.

Forgot to mention:

Working Men’s Club.

They have proper old electronic energy about them. Carrying on the Manchester tradition

Yeah definitely some more retro synty sounds mixed with more 90s style indie rock.

I like some of this stuff, but I must admit the late 70s early 80s synth pop boom didn't really do much for me.

I preferred things as the sound became more refined throughout the 80s

I have quite a lot of Tangerine Dream and Vangelis stuff from the 60s onwards, quite a mixed bag.

Haven't really listened to a lot of more modern stuff but I like some Still Forever.

Solihull and Brentwood

Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells. The rest of the tracks on the album were not upto much imho, except the title track.

Loved Jean-Michel Jarre’s Oxygene as mentioned earlier.

Not really sure Tubular Bells would count as electronic music.

I quite liked side B of the album

Fantastic album though, he's a super talented guy.
