Woke biologists with little to fill their day are complaining that emoji's which are those little images often placed in text, are underrepresented for plants and fungi and micro organisms. There are too many animals they say and the emojis are not diverse enough. Tom has a message for these biology types but he is too polite to print it ..

What's going on here guys? It's all over the news....

I think all aspects of life should be represented by a little humorous, coloured icon.

Doesn't everyone want emojis that represent them or at least ones they would use a lot? Think there are plenty of threads on here wanting new emojis. Can't see the difference here Tom.

Why are they woke? Do you know what that word means?

Without flora/fauna/fungus there would be no life on this rock we fall home

I doubt they care about the emojis but it’s a good headline grabbing story to rile the culture wars type and make people talk. Mission accomplished..

Quick - the planet is about the be eaten by an enormous mutant Star-Goat!

We must build three gigantic arks to put all the workers in one, all the brains/achievers in another and the other useless third (influencers, celebrities, telephone sanitizers, vegan biologists) in the other...

I didn’t think they’d have mushroom to be worrying about that, what with everything else there is to worry about going on in the world.

Well we don't have a proper one either for covid and the only virus one looks more like a beetle.

Scientifically imprecise and rather discrinatory.

I think virologist should be made aware of that too.

Axel.

Ps. Oh and we should have one for "you need counselling!" too. I would have it as a shortcut on my keyboard .
