Walk. 10 min of walk and your stress levels start dropping apparently. Don't care how correct it is, anecdotally it works for me. Maybe it's a placebo effect?

It depends on what kind of bad day it is.
If I'm irked by something I'll go to the gym. Or for a power walk through the woods. Doing something, being outside really helps. As does sweating away my rage.
If I'm sad, I'll tend to retreat for a bit. Sit with my feelings and then racoon away for an evening until I'm able to be more me. Lots of naps and comfort food. Or I have a friend who lives quite near by who helps me not overthink. I can switch off and just be.
If it's been stressful, I'll talk to people. Close friends. Sometimes about serious things, sometimes just nonsense that makes me remember to laugh again.
