For hot food?.. yes, definitely.
Best and quickest way is to put a little water on the plate and pop it in the microwave for a few seconds - works for multiple plates on top of one another too. |

I have a plate warming drawer.
I warm my tea pot, cups, even my teaspoon before I use it for stirring.
Basically, if something hot will be served in it, I will warm it up.
If something is to be served chilled, I will place them in the freezer beforehand.
