Sometimes. I put them in the top grill/oven, or on a ring I'm not using.

Yes, especially when it's almost freezing in my kitchen, otherwise the food goes cold even quicker!

Oh hell yeah!

Since the day I learnt that’s how they served the late Queen’s meals adopted the same etiquette

The genius move is arming your tea cup. Bit of hot water swirled around before you make a brew means it's hotter longer

My flat is always incredibly warm regardless of the weather, I'm always naked indoors

There's no need to warm plates

Yep we do.

Put them in the microwave for 30 seconds each plate.

It's mostly what we use the microwave for

For hot food?.. yes, definitely.

Best and quickest way is to put a little water on the plate and pop it in the microwave for a few seconds - works for multiple plates on top of one another too.

I have a plate warming drawer.

I warm my tea pot, cups, even my teaspoon before I use it for stirring.

Basically, if something hot will be served in it, I will warm it up.

If something is to be served chilled, I will place them in the freezer beforehand.

If it's a hot meal I warm the plates. Keeps the gravy from congealing.
