The best scent is the scent that I buy for myself. Unless the person giving is aware of my signature scent/s and won't go 'off piste' with something they like and I detest. If that's likely then I'll happily receive the cash equivalent or a gift card.  |

I'd not want fragrance as a gift - it's far too personal, too easy to get wrong for something so expensive. (A friend did get me a perfume he knew I already like and use - and a set by the same maker. That's the only exception to that) |

I wear Dior Hypn*tic Poison for evenings out and dates. It's a beautiful musky vanilla base and very sensual.
For daytime I like fresh floral tones and wear a few, the newest being Gucci Flora.
For gifts I would sneak a peek at bottles in bathrooms and see what is running low, or ask when I notice them smelling delicious |

I only buy scents for myself unless specifically told which
For myself and I buy far too many  it'd be "daddy" its out of stock so more testing if I'm to treat myself  |
