Wolverhampton would get a nod from me.
I haven’t been there for absolutely years but the last time I did, the part I visited resembled a post apocalyptic wasteland.
Crumbling, long vacant factories and industrial parks; I couldn’t but help to imagine it being a superb location for a dystopian sci fi film or something. |

Something odd about Newcastle. Everytime I visit I enjoy a drink (or 5) in this bar I know, I always end up in a room full of naked people getting fucked in this funny room downstairs, my husband's cock falls into other ladies private parts. Must be something strange in the aircon system

Dungeness, really odd place. Yet I appreciate it for it's bleakness.
Cleator Moor in Cumbria also deserves a mention. Very insular.
Jaywick in Essex. Drive through there at night. Probably wouldn't do that again. |

Swansea city centre, once a bustling place but now it wouldn’t look out of place in a zombie movie. The stairwells in the multi-storey car park by the quadrant are best avoided.
And that’s during the day!

There’s a place near me called Clay Hill.
Even as a kid, I recall it not feeling right there.
The inhabitants just seem to stop whatever they’re doing in the street as you pass and stare at you vacantly.
A while back I smiled at one of the denizens there to break the ice so to speak but this warm gesture was met with no emotion nor response whatsoever.
It’s quite unnerving in fact.
I rather suspect that the inhabitants may be aliens or pod people or something; Invasion Of The Body Snatchers style |
