Tea is a drink. I had a cup of tea.
Where I come from (the east coast of Southern Africa), the evening meal is called "Supper". As I explained in the extensive thread devoted to this topic, since South Africa beat England at both rugby and cricket on the same day, you are now culturally subject to them and have to use the correct term - "supper" - to refer to your evening meal.

This cracked me up.
But that aside.. I almost feel your pain. I’ve a big box of shortbread petticoat tails in a cupboard in front of me. Last night I opened the box to nosey (as you do) then somehow put them back.
