….and it’s starting to get a bit chilly here.
That can mean only one thing….
Yes indeedy, it’s my annual radiator census, everyone
Righty oh! How many radiators do you have in your house good folks?
Please describe them in graphic detail.
Electric towel rails? Bloody awesome ain’t they?
What other heating appliances do you own? Any fellow Hallogen Heater fans/owners here?
Perhaps you have an open fire or log burner you’d like to brag about?
Please reveal all here my fine people |

I have eight radiators, they are all getting on a bit going to need replacing at some point. The only other form of heating I have is hot water bottles, I am partial to a hot water bottle. |

7 radiators, one fire. But we also have little double glazing, solid brick walls and little insulation in the roof. So our cottage is usually freezing. Fortunately we’ve cut and stored about 3 ton of wood for the fire. Cozy |

Hot water bottles! We have lots. We sleep three to the bed in the winter too. Best way to keep the little one warm. |

"7 radiators. None of which are on. Yet. That’s my lot "
Don’t forget to give them a test run about now; best to make sure all’s working ship shape rather than wait to turn them on when you need them and find them cold |

Have you tried those electric heat pads? (Like a mini electric blanket) - By Jove! - they’re amazing! The heat is blissful (so much so that whenever I have tried one, I’ve nodded off in the warm glow) |

8 radiators here, with a towel rail in the bathroom. I need to scrape clean and repaint the one in the downstairs toilet as it's getting rusty. They've not been turned on yet this autumn, but that's only a matter of time. |

Can you believe we had frost here this morning?
Only two weeks ago we were sweltering
I’ve tested my rads to make sure all is well and have had to rebalance them. All is ready now though |

16 in my mum and dad's also for interest (as it's where I'm currently sat!)
Oh and underfloor heating in the orangery at mine."
I have underfloor heating in my kitchen; It’s heavenly on a cold morning with bare feet |

My last hot water bottle sprang a leak
I use one after a night shift as my feet are always cold.
I woke up in a wet bed thinking age had finally caught up with me! |

We have 2 log burners, oil radiators in all the rooms but we tend to use electric heaters in the rooms as well as the log burners in both living rooms.
We have a towel rail in the upstairs bathroom but it's useless. |

You should try an electric heat pad; oooo they’re heavenly and can be wrapped around feet, legs, arms, anywhere in fact. I can’t recommend them enough |

I have had that happen to me before, the OP mentioned electric heat pads further up so I am going to have a look at them, I get really cold feet at night but I can't sleep in socks for some reason. |

It’s funny you should mention the non working towel rail; I have one in one of my bathrooms and it’s never blooming worked either
I’ve tried bleeding it, rebalancing the system - everything. Alas - to no avail
It looks mightily decorative though I suppose |

Nowt worse than a freezing bathroom when you have to get naked. Perhaps we should be treating ourselves to new ones. |

That’s what I use now and it’s wonderful
I’ve also eliminated the risk of frying myself as I have an electric blanket as well |

Try one, they’re amazing.
Socks wouldn’t do it for me, my feet need to be toasty |

You can actually get electric feet warmer, like little boots and same with socks. You can even get them rechargeable so you don't have to be connected to wires all the time |

9 radiator, 8 working perfectly the one on my living room doesn't warm up like all the others . Saying this i haven't yet turned up the boiler to warm up the house.
I do use water bottles and i really love them. Been now looking into electric heated blankets/ dressing gown , this will be my aproach to this winter to try cut cost in gas bill , as it seems to me gas bills they gonna go up to the roof this winter once again ! |

7 radiators, one of which is a ladder one.
One low level heat convector thingy that's under the cooker and heats the kitchen area. We couldn't make it work when we first moved in because we didn't work out what all the switches do! |
