I'm confused, did a whole thread go or just a post or two? I prefer the latter if they can manage it (unless the thread is obviously breaking the rules of course).
I don't personally like to see otherwise normal-enough threads get derailed and then entirely removed tbh - better to remove offending posts. I've been in some quoted chat that has suddenly vanished, but I just think, well at least it wasn't the thread.

Keeping the forum upbeat and great for everyone is a good target for us all  . Mods have a tough challenge to keep us in step.
