It's similar to this for me.
It is situationally dependant. But if they are unclean. The clothes can be worn or old but preferably clean.
But inappropriate slogans etc they too are a turn off |

Oohh the new trend of trousers that have fell out with your feet on an otherwise smart pair of suit trousers and worn with smart shoes, no socks is also worse than socks... Really, you look like your mum couldn't afford new uniform and your legs grew much faster than your feet ffs! |

Football tops are hugely off-putting for me. Much as I don't like generalisations, if someone cares enough about the game to wear an official strip, they're usually someone I have very little in common with, and I anticipate them being obnoxious.

In certain circles this is seen as trendy. I remember a fella who used to run a blog many years ago entirely dedicated to sandals with socks and taking the piss out folk who did. I was amazed at how it was joke that just kept giving. |

I don't have a problem with that in winter.
I used to fly to the West Indies and it was utterly pointless wearing heavy winter shoes for the journey. However, barefoot in sandals at that time of year at this end of the journey is pushing it for comfort.
Similarly, I would wear thermals under tropical trousers and remove them towards the end of the flight.
That way I also kept luggage to a minimum. |

For me, it honestly depends on the socks and sandals. If they're the "right ones", it can actually look quite hot, but otherwise it can be a total turn-off.
I love feet and shoes, so it's one of the first things that I look at  |
