Mine is more that I listen to Heart radio, they seem to have few records and over play new ones so much like on an hourly basis that I end up turning it off more than it is on |

Up until the Olympics I quite liked Emelie Sande, now hearing her all the time has ruined it for me.
In the car this morning, Chris Evans played Abba... shit I thought and flicked over to the local radio station, only to have Emelie and her latest dirge.... I daren't flick over to another station in case Lily Allen was on! |

I don't listen to radio stations likely to play music but, when I DO feel the need to throw the radio out of the window, it tends to be the output of the chancers who've gone down the Saturday night competition route. |

I am going to be the odd one out lol.. I sometimes love listening to classic fm and rarely feel the need to switch over.
Other than that I quite like Adele's voice but most things "pop" would make me turn over. |

Abba.
Adele.
Lana Del Rey.
Justin Beiber.
Amy Winehouse.
Little Mix.
Any drum & bass, rap, techno, reggae, dubstep, "wub wub" music gets turned off...
There's a lot more but that's all that springs to mind at the moment...
- Amy. x |

I pass this on without comment but I heard an accusation on the radio the other day that Marcus and Ben from the Mumfords are even posher than Cameron and Osborne - "two posh boys who don't know the price of a pint of milk". |

"Abba
Wash your mouth out! Abba are awesome.
"
Abba ,well Bjorn & Benny, wrote some technically brilliant tunes. You may have noticed that covers of their music are far and few between
I hate "slushy" pop music and Craig David |

"Not so much the artist, more the inane DJ...."
I am like this with female DJs. Don't know why, but I just don't like listening to them. I particularly dislike Jo Wiley |

Makes very interesting reading, must admit I've not even heard of many of the names but your comments suggest that most "modern" artists and maybe the stuff they "sing" aren't up to much. I agree, most of it is just noise with words and phrases repeated over and over again. I was brought up in the days of wireless when you could hear every word of what was sung. My all time favourite is deanna Durbin, still alive and well at a grand old age, the voice of an angel! |
