"You guys charge a bomb! Charge much more and trees will turn into giants everywhere! "
that's hilarious. It's good money when you have your own company to be fair.
Subcontractors average £150 a day where as bricklayers can easy earn £200.
At least I can say I enjoy my job |

Terrible pay for my job.
I become a whole family support network.
Still about to commence new job but if I progress I can earn a bit more for my retirement at 85 |

Work/life balance is important as long as you get to fund hobbies and interests in your off time that's the main thing. |

Semi retired sports and fitness coach. Downsized my business last year by letting go of the academy I was renting. Surviving on pension, small amount of club coaching and school gigs, when I get them. Surviving is say |

What's the difference between an antique dealer and a park bench?
The park bench can support a family."
Ah that's interesting, I imagine you can cash out big if times ever get really bad. |

My husband and I run our own business. If we had to calculate an hourly rate for ourselves we would be into minus figures. We will however hopefully reap the rewards when we retire, fingers crossed! |

Retail so the money is poor. No real perks and management are shite. It's not enough to pay the Bill's or have any form of luxuries. So much so, I've had to take an extra job on my day off! But I have self respect and refuse to take handouts. I work bloody hard to give my kids a good work ethic and it's worked for my eldest, shes doing well for herself. |

I have 2 degrees and 2 diplomas and 25 years experience in early Years education with extensive knowledge of child development and child psycholog and part of the senior team in a day Nursery.
My wage is good considering how bad the wages are in the sector overall.
My Nursery is owned by the local college so we get the same privileges and benefits as the college staff

Been doing the same job since school, not great earnings but all the hours you want
Have ploughed it all back into business.
If want to retire will have to sell up but hopefully it’ll be worth it. |
