I'd really like to hear that Santa has met with an awful accident, probably mauled by one of his reindeer, or a 'pitbull type' dog and that he'll never return, thus saving me going into debt once again for another 12 months |

Why DO people ask what you REALLY want for xmas???
Cos anything that you REALLY want there is no way that person is going to be able to provide- unless you really are a fickle materialistic person with no values.
But, the materialistic things can add a little happyness to what we do have, so even tho i personally hate xmas to (my own reasons not just cos its xmas) i dont begrudge others making the most of it and having a good time xxx |

"He lost his mum! thats why he dont like it"
My OH lost his mum in July, they were like glue, always stuck together, I'm under no illusions it will be a difficult period for him as we always had MIL over every Christmas for the last 20 years
I know the pain he's suffering |

Just let him cry and get it off his chest.
MY best buzzy lost his OH last July, found him dead in bed. He came to visit me this July, and i knew i was going to have tears, i just didnt realise how quickly, he had kept himself together for the other people, but started talking about him and how much he missed him and broke down.
He was able to have a drink (or 20) with me that weekend after, so prob a good thing he got it off his chest as soon as he arrived.
Big hugs to you hun, xxxx |

Life can be very cruel when we least expect it, the art is not to allow events to scar us "
There are many suffering this year due to one event or another - and my heart goes out to all of them/you.
I feel lucky this year that i am having a quiet xmas on my own, wine and telly and baaaaaaaaad food.
Not coming out til i have to go to work again= and let everyone else do all the talking about what a fab xmas they had - they usually dont notice that you dont add your own tuppence worth. x |

Christmas is a very hard time of year for many people for many reasons. I personally hate christmas have done most of my life and more so last ten years. When my son was young and right up until he left home i made every christmas as special for him as i could and then i used to cry my silent tears alone. Since he has left home i no longer have to pretend. I have no tree or anything else up, i dont want people to get into debt to buy presents and id sooner spend time with friends and family through out the year because i want to and they want to and not because "its christmas". People are always doing so much "because its christmas".
Personally id like to see christmas celebrated for families with children aged 16 and under and thats it |

I'll say this in the hope it may help you diamond, and them I'm going to stop being serious
It's within you to control the issues, don't allow them to control you, you must remain in control, the mind can and does play games with us if allowed. |

You are a thoroughly decent person to give up your Christmas to help those not so fortunate. I applaud you. |

I would not rest easy if my children despised Christmas because I died at that time of year. I'd think I'd left them such a sad legacy if that's how it panned out. I'd much prefer them to remember the Christmases I was able to share with them. It's the cycle of life to die before ones children and the true meaning of life is to leave a part of you behind, in them, when you go. I don't mean the genes and bad habits, but the traditions you value and the way you tackle life is what our children should gain from us, enabling them, hopefully, to pass it on to their children, and thus life goes on and, in some small way, we become immortal.
I have 3 baubles that my grandmother used to hang on her tree that now hang on mine, I also have a few things from my own mum's tree that also hang on mine and when the times comes they'll go to my daughter to hang on hers. My ancestors are with me everytime I get them down from the loft and put it up with my children helping me. That's what Christmas means to me.

I don't want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
3 fit lads and one large bed
and I will be in ecstasy
I just want them on my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true...
All I want for Christmas is rude
I don't want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
hard and willing throbbing willies
but not so big they make me bleed
I won’t dress them in my stockings
When I’m sitting on their face
Santa Claus won't make me happy
But 3 fit lads, now that is ace
I just want them for my own
More than a couple of hours or so
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is rude
Oh I won't ask for much this Christmas
I won't even wish for snow
I'm just wanna keep on taking
in every position I know
I won't make a list and send it
To the North Pole for Saint Nick
He’s too old and lives too far
and hear he’s got a tiny dick
'Cause I want fit guys here tonight
Holding on me down oh so tight
And they’ll know what to do
Baby all I want for Christmas is rude

I have to say that Christmas to me is a time of true joyful emotions. As a child we had amazing Christmas's, my parents went out of their way to make it special, not with lavish gifts or lots of money being spent, but as my Dad worked long long hours it was always a true 'family' time, they made it magical and I loved it.
I lost my Mum when I was 17, and since then as the oldest daughter in the family I kind of took on the mantle of making Christmas special, the same since I had my own children.
Even now, I don't spend a fortune on my kids never have. It's not about how much you spend or how lavish the gifts are, they enjoy the fact that for once in the year we all make an effort to just be together, with PC's in bedrooms and friends etc etc, Christmas is really the only time that we honestly spend a couple of days in just eachothers company doing all the daft things like playing charades and having a bit to drink, and far too much to eat ............
I always have loved it and always will
