Does it mean you're weird? I don't have a type. Neither a physical type or a personality. I struggle to answer any questions about what I like or what I'm looking for on dating sites.

Is there anyone else? I'm starting to think I'm weird.

I’m the same and I’m not weird at all, at least not for that reason

I think it means that the usual ways of differentiating people with height, hair colour, body shape or whatever don’t really make a difference. There are other things that lead to attraction but they’re not on the usual list.

No I don’t have a type because I find a variety of women very attractive. People who have a type are usually, in my opinion, just people who see beauty in a specific, but often narrow, way.

Also, it varies for me in terms of looks. The Black women I find attractive look nothing like the Brown women or the white women I do. Etc. Etc. That’s just me though and this is just my opinion.

If you lined up the girls I have had as GF’s or slept with them you’d know I didn’t have a type either.

Personality is high as well as that look in the eyes!! Although that’s probably more now!

You have a type darling wether its looks more than personality or balance of the two.

I reckon you probably just have always gone with the flow to not realise which is not a bad thing.

Find time to jot down on paper the people you have met and got along well with put the reasons why that was and after try find any similarities that may help narrow things down for you

When you are too fearfully to express a type, it's easier to say what you don't want.

By a process of elimination you find your type.

There's definitely a running theme with people I've been attracted to or had relationships with personality wise, I guess that would suggest I have a type. When it comes to looks they were uniquely very different. Sometimes sexual attraction comes after a close bond has been established and that's cool too.

The only thing I've come up with is there has been a meeting of minds, I guess. A connection - values, priorities etc. not really a type.

There will be common factors that link a majority of meets that trigger the subconscious mind into finding that person attractive.

I can sort of see where you're coming from... those common features and traits. I think the vast majority of people do have a type, whether it's a particularly personality they like. Certain things that can be found across the board.

I don't think it's weird if you don't have a type though. And I think some people, just, well, don't.

I wouldn't say I have a 'type' but I would say I have 'types'. Certain looks or personality types appeal to me more than others, but from my point of view, there are beautiful women from all over the world and there are different personality types - whether bubbly women that I instantly enjoy being around or more shy women who pull me in.

‘A type’ is such an odd thing to me - I think it pigeon holes people into little _oxes of requirements that if they don’t have one of these physical features or personality traits it’s game over before it even started.

Sure I love a silver fox and someone with a sparkle in there eye but if I were meeting I wouldn’t rule out people who don’t have these things - surely half the fun is finding something unexpected in someone x

A type ? , love loads of types . It's the way they respond, personality. Not the super model vision etc

Of for cure, they can 'have' one by all means as they're still useful

I wouldn't call it a type, but I have preferences. Anyone can have sexiness.

I personally don't see preferences as being the same as a type. A type is grouping those preferences together isn't it?

I have to find them sexy in some way. Which is usually more personality driven.

Quick witted, kind- hearted, great fuck.

Sadly a rare breed.

"I like the hot ones that turn me on.

Ah, well, I mean they're like gold dust aren't they? "

Rocking-horse shit.

I do actually know my type. It's just not one singular thing. It mostly comes in the form of a natural flowing conversation, which both contribute to and the existence of a feeling of synchronicity when we are together. A mutual emotional expressivity and receptivity. That's either there or it's not, can take time to develop. Courage and self-awareness are key to making that work. That feeling of: we get each other. Doesn't need saying.

Then there's the intellectual sphere. It's not necessarily book smarts, it's the ability to process information, a pluralist mindset able to appreciate multiple perceptions of a given subject and their interelation. Difference is the dialect that sparks creativity. The integrity to put as much effort into understanding as being understood. Sharing experiences, views, dreams and desires. Small-talk switches me off quite quickly.

Humility is greatly undervalued trait these days I find. I love passion and tenacity, but I find many people really struggle to accept fallibility or any imperfection. If someone can't take responsibility for their part in a conflict etc - that causes me to lose respect for them. If it becomes about who 'wins' a debate or discussion then my eyes roll. I admire strength but not rigidity.

I could go on, that's off the top of my head. Those things are essential to friendship. They don't necessarily lead to sexual attraction.

No specific type as it's the person themselves that interests me. The brain and personality of the individual is what attracts me most and foremost but lets be honest this is a sex site not a dating app I don't think anyone is expecting a marriage proposal.

"That's off the top of my head". I mean, I do know all of the words you used, I'm just not able to put them together in a way that represents how I feel. Nor do many other people.

"Does it mean you're weird? I don't have a type. Neither a physical type or a personality. I struggle to answer any questions about what I like or what I'm looking for on dating sites.

Is there anyone else? I'm starting to think I'm weird. "

No, you're not "weird" - I don't have a "type" either...

....over the past 30 years I've happily played with ladies ranging from sizes 8 to 22; between 4'10" and 6'2"; anywhere from 15 years younger to 30 years older; blondes and brunettes, redheads and raven-haired; with short hair, long hair, and numerous styles inbetween...

....variety is, as they say, the spice of life!

Once someone entices you to make that move to get naked that’s your type. You’ll know then what markers he hit and why. Doesn’t have to be a series of tick box in advance to know you have a type.

I absolutely agree. It feels a little greedy - not wanting to miss out on someone great. If you know what I mean?

I don't think people who have a type are closed minded though? They're just very sure of what they want.
