Gentlemën, Ladiës, Nøn-Binariës and Whateveriës...
How do you recharge?
Do you recharge by sitting alone in the proximal company of other people (e.g. in a café, on a park bench, ...) or being around close friends, or do you recharge by spending time in solitude? |

As always it depends. When I'm running a bit flat/low, I recharge with friends and loved ones. It doesn't have to be discussing what's gone on, idle chatter is enough to help me recharge. Going for a long walk helps. I appreciate how beautiful nature is and I'm reminded how lucky I am to see it.
If I'm at the sort of low where I'm depleted? I hide away from people. Seek solace in myself. Hide on here. Do some yoga. Watch a show that never fails to make me smile, even if I've been ugly crying.
I try really hard to avoid the latter - not that it's not good for me to spend time alone but it's more... I don't like how much recharging it requires. |

Solitude….. definitely solitude and have just returned from two weeks sat in fields, alone, in the middle of nowhere |

This must have been a rejuvenating experience. Do you feel suitably recharged? |

I definitely charge my battery by being alone. I sleep a LOT when I'm alone and resting. Just constantly falling in to naps.
I always say I charge my battery be being alone, but like to use my battery to socialise.
Recently I've been feeling a touch lonely and missing when I was cat sitting for a friend, so I'm looking into adopting a cat x |

After 22 consecutive 14 hours shifts on the run we are off to a spa on Saturday, it has soundproofed dark room with heated waterbeds to relax on. Quite possibly the most expensive nap we will ever have but if it gets the batteries off empty then it will be worth it! |

I hide, I over think, I retreat. School holidays make that impossible, so it's constantly been go, go, go. My kink world and vanilla world have constantly been hammering away at me this summer. So yes recharging is sooooooo important and something I have recently been redirected to this very topic, recharging. Roll on next week. Although having said that a good kink session where I can just let go, forget everything and just feel and be on the moment that can be very cathartic. |

In nature. I’ve spent lots of time hiking by myself recently and I definitely feel better for it.
And into the forest I go,
to lose my mind
and find my soul

Outside. Walking. Running. Cycling.
Just away from everything and everyone.
Then of course with the rare few that can calm me down. So basically, anyone that plays with my hair.
Even Geoffrey. |

I do find watching the world go by in a cafe quite restorative, Nero. The right cafe/atmosphere, obviously.
If not that, dog walks, playing sport and the gym will get me back on an even keel...usually.
I also like just sitting in silence at home sometimes. But sometimes it's people that recharge my batteries, so it kind of depends what I'm needing to "fix"... |

YOLO, you're not a million miles away from my approach: a peaceful and quiet corner in a leafy café or sitting on my sofa with the lights dimmed and listening to the white noise from my earbuds. |

I often sit on our bed but with the doors open so the hubub of family life is still going on around me. I don't do massively well with solitude or being alone, I prefer to be somewhere busy, with others around. My trip to Spain in July was a great example - I was there alone, but really only ever ALONE at night when it was time to sleep. |

If you ever need fixing, I'm happy to offer to play Hungry Hippos with you. |

I like to go for a walk, I have go to places for this depending where I am staying...
Time in bed with my cat watching some meaningless TV, with snacks for us both...
Catching up with friends in the pub, going for a meal or a night out drinking and dancing..
It depends what I feel I need, one specific thing won't fix it everytime! |

Solitude and listening to Classical music.
If I get bored with that I will venture out to the coffee shops at the local retail park and just people watch. |
