What food things do you hate? Do you class yourself as a picky eater?

I can’t stand cheese or mayonnaise, which makes getting a quick meal deal lunch very difficult in most places.

I hate vegetables but will force them down because I know of their benefit.

I also hate the taste of cooked eggs, but again will force them down if necessary.

Loads of brown sauce hides the taste.

I love and hate food.

My digestive system doesn't work like it should and I'm restricted with foods and on meds.

But sometimes I rebel, which I call 'self harming' because it can get boring and depressing. Other times I can stay on the straight and narrow easily.

Food tastes and feels lovely, I like eating, I just don't enjoy the faulty body that acts like a dick at certain foods.

This is also why I don't like being wined and dined.

I rebel now and then and came unstuck in London after eating cacio e pepe pasta in a restaurant in Tottenham Court Road.

I'm just glad I decided to use the toilet before I left.

Funnily enough though, I had pasta Alfredo yesterday and feel fine.

Ha! Of course you are. I've met you.

No, it's more in my head I should be sitting at a bar, legs crossed with one heel half off, wearing a beautiful black dress and half nibbling at olives.

The reality is I'm persuading barmen to replace tequila for free, spanking (consensually) people and twerking. Olives might be my gateway to sophistication.

I'm picky but can be a mix of flavours I don't like or textures. So eggs is a big one. I love the smell of omelette but not the texture. Scrambled eggs can be hit and moss, same with egg Mayo but I hate the white so wouldn't eat fried, dippy or hard boiled egg as its a waste if I only ate the yolk. There's loads of food I am like this with, although sometimes whether they are cooked or not makes a difference as well. So cooked tomatoes and carrots are fine but not uncooked. I have expanded what I will eat over the years though and I do try and retry things as well

I always say I'm not a picky eater, but then do have some weird food rules which mean I probably am.

I'll just focus on the cheese ones as I don't want to look too weird...

I hate parmesan, blue or goat's cheese, which are all quite easily avoided, thankfully. I don't like any melted cheese, except on pizza. Can tolerate in a lasagne/moussaka, within reason, but do not put cheese anywhere near my shepherd's pie. And don't get me started on cheese on toast.

Cheese boards are a minefield, so I'll just remain silent.

Most seafood, especially salmon. Wouldn’t even sniff anything fish based that comes from a jar such as a cockle, whelk, eel etc. I can eat prawns but only if they are in batter or a prawn cocktail. Otherwise they’re a no go too.

I’m funny about certain watery fruit and veg - hate any form of melon, cucumber or even tomatoes if they are anemic or bland.

I wouldn’t eat offal or anything that’s cooked in another part of an animal or made with blood … black pudding, haggis etc

I don’t like Prosecco or most wine either or much alcohol at all tbh…. I prefer cocktails but they must be fruity or sweet and not too ‘alcohol-ey’…

No offal. Bleerugh.

.

Fresh Tuna ? Yuk. What a disappointment.

Tinned tuna ? Love it.

.

Grits when I was in New Orleans. Disgusting. Like wallpaper paste.

.

Semolina ? Yup, nice.

Tapioca pudding ? Gives me the fear.

.

Olives ? I'd sooner eat a hand-grenade.

Vile Devil's droppings.

.

Peppers ? Love all sorts.

Rocket /Coriander ? Yes please.

Aubergine ? Run for the hills.

Mushrooms ? Omg, I'll eat nearly all of them, apart from Button Mushrooms, but I don't like their taste.

.

Funny story...I knew a lady who avoided mushrooms in public. They made her orgasm. I suspect she ate a lot in private however. She was wired quite differently and experienced Synesthesia (she saw colours when words were spoken).

I saw a pic on FB of a tomato and the seeds had started to sprout through the skin, it made me feel like I was going to throw up, and I haven't been able to eat tomatoes since.

Mayo I can't eat cause I'm funny about eggs, but have no issues with cake

Cheese I can only eat cheddar cause in my head it's not 'real cheese' but can't touch other cheeses.

Honey I can't have on anything cause it makes me think of bee vomit.

Mushrooms I can't eat cause as a child I saw a piece in my food that looked like a slug

Those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head lol

Coconut is the devil. On it's own, bounty bars, malibu...get in the bin.

There's onky one useful purpose for coconuts as I discovered recently.....

What’s that? I’m all intrigued now. And yes Malibu is grim

I grew up with very little in the house and we was made to eat whatever was put in front of us.

So I’m pretty good with food except for the only thing that makes me gip at the sound of it which is corned beef! Simple because we had every variation of it two three times a week so now I literally hate it lol

We feed our dogs raw tripe....once I put some in our "cold" oven to defrost during the day. Came home from work turned the oven on ready to cook dinner lay in the bath for an hour and couldn't work out where the vile smell was coming from the house stank for days
