Truth in advertising, if Findus had a swingers profile...

While I sympathise with the position that a product advertised as 100% beef is actually 100% horse, I do note that most of the ire is directed at the fact that it is shergar lasagne, and little julie is all upset that she had my little pony and pasta for tea.
I am more than a little discombobulated at the attitudes of people who shop at supermarkets for cheap crap, who then express surprise that supermarkets knowingly and with politician and banker style deniability buy horsemeat at 300 quid a carcass and not cow at 1200 quid a carcass.
One would have thought that the issue would have been truth in advertising, the trouble all started with marketing 100% horse as 100% beef.
Which got me thinking, if Findus had a profile on here, would be it be any less dishonest than many of the profiles on here already? |
