Let us not forget the plethora of superb foreign b&w films also.
Akira Kurosawa‘s works for example, are amazing; classics as Yojimbo and Seven Samurai were both remade for Western Audiences (in glorious colour this time) as A Fistful Of Dollars and The Magnificent Seven respectively |

There’s definitely some very noticeable similarities between the two.
In Curse/Night Of The Demon the curse is passed on via a note with Runes on it (the bearer had to pass it on to someone else before midnight on a specific date or else….)
Drag Me To Hell had a cursed button with a similarly ominous deadline attached to it.
I love both films |

Take two... couldn't deal with the typos!
Breakfast at Tiffany's; The Odd Couple; Guess Who's Coming to Dinner; In the Heat of the Night; To Sir With Love. (yes, I love Poitier)
They're not in B&W, but definitely classics...

Federico Fellini’s absolute classic, La Dolce Vita.
A sublime masterpiece!
And not wishing to lower/sexualise the tone but Anita Ekberg in the said film……OMG!!! Surely one of the most beautiful women to ever grace the earth |

For some classic b&w swashbuckling action, you can’t beat The Mark Of Zorro starring Tyrone Power and Basil Rathbone (the latter playing a delightfully hissable villain as he was so good at)
The final sword duel is an absolute belter |

They Died With Their Boots On: Errol Flynn takes on the role of General Custer in this classic.
Of course, history now views Custer in a very different light but as historically inaccurate as his interpretation may be, Flynn is superbly dashing as always.
Of special note, the delightfully sprightly and cheery soundtrack in the finale provides a rather hilarious juxtaposition as Custer and his men are all butchered |

Awww I love black and white films. I don't have a favourite, I just enjoy them more when I come across them on the telly.
Everyone round to mine. You bring the movie's I'll provide the nibbles
