Just read about it and I genuinely cannot believe a) the leading actor is genuinely spouting conspiracy theories like this so brazenly in public and b) that people have taken this film and made it the representation of their completely unproven, antisemitic myths. |

The conspiracy theory also alleges that high profile Jewish people are also leading this satanic ring. It’s just centuries old antisemitism in my opinion. |

If it’s bringing the subject more attention that’s a good thing. But it seems people want to talk about the less important issue of what an actor said.
I think we can all agree trafficking of any person especially children is wrong. I prefer to focus on the film subject and none of the noise that it’s going to bring with it |

Yeah I agree, the controversy is taking away from the real issue. In some countries humans/children are taken and forced to work in factories that’s got nothing to do with the Jewish community from what I understand |

No the film has nothing to do with the conspiracy! It’s just about a true story about human trafficking. But the actors comments are the controversy I am pretty sure. |

Known organisations dealing with this have come out against the group featured in the film.
It's using a real problem to try to further cultural agendas, even if it throws real victims under the bus. It's fucking disgusting. |

The people behind this are brothers called Harmon. They're Mormon but aligned with the fringe of the republican party. They are essentially fundraising with this movie that repeats the tropes of a powerful elite that is behind child trafficking.
The lead actor is saying the quiet part talking harvesting adrenochrome.
Interestingly enough one of the funders was arrested in Miami on charges of child abduction. |

Jim Caviezel is well known for having strong Christian views and he had a lot to say when The Passion of the Christ first came out.
A lot of the current controversy is due to the fact that the movie is classed as faith based and has been partly funded by Christian groups. |
